•°Becoming A New Friend...And Seeing A Bishounen In Distress!°•

"Are you alright?"

A bishounen...a bishounen angel's face is in front of me!

"Um...young miss?"

"Eh? Um yes! Yes, I'm fine sir. T-thank you." Finally accepting the fact that I am safe, I immediately removed myself from the arms of the unknown boy. He raised an eyebrow while looking at me, making me feel slightly uncomfortable.

"U-um..."

"My name's Jade, how about you?"

"I-I am Thea...sir." You're asking this sister if she is affected by the bishounen in front of me? Well, of course not! I just got embarrassed for being in such a scene with a boy. I've never been held by one, aside from my father.

"Drop the sir, Thea. And..." Jade turned his head to Al and slightly smiled. Al seemed to notice what he meant and straightened his posture.

"Greetings, m--" He suddenly paused before he could formally bow, and immediately smiled to conceal his mistake, " I am called Allen, brother Jade." Silently, I glanced to Jade and looked if he noticed something or not. And fortunately, I guess it was the latter.

"Nice to meet you, Thea and Allen. So....what are you two doing here?" Jade asked and gave out a simple smile. Despite his slightly dusted face and old worn clothes, it still cannot hide the attractive features of him.

"Just a walk around. Me and my cousin want to take a look since we have been staying at home for long. " Before I could answer, Al beat me to it and chirped in. The bishounen gave an understanding nod which I, inwardly, rose an eyebrow to.

'Bishounen-sama is not even suspicious...in fact, he is suspicious...'

"What's with the scrunched eyebrows?"

Flick!

"Ow!"

What the....? Did bishounen-sama just flicked my forehead?? He flicked this sister's forehead! Unforgivable!!

"What's with that??" I fumed and glared at Jade as I stepped back, hinting my anger at him. He just laughed and ruined my---now he ruined my hair!!

"Hahaha! Sorry, sorry. You're just cute that I can't help it." He said and smiled oh-so-brightly that I nearly got blind! Hmph! Trying to charm me won't work, you bad bishounen!

...

I just came to realize that now I am acting like a kid.

But technically I am a kid. So, it is fine right?

"Anyways, you two shouldn't be loitering around any longer. It is already late and we can't say for sure what will happen if bad guys took you for granted." I blinked up to bish--I mean, brother Jade after he spoke. His eyes seemed to darken, but his smile still remained on his face. Huh...it must have been the darkness that concealed the light in his eyes.

"Thank you brother Jade for reminding us. We will go on then, nice meeting you!" Al smiled and waved at him, glancing at me to wait for my response. I nodded at him in return and gave a small wave to brother Jade before turning to leave with Al.

Ah. Right.

I turned back to bishounen-sama, to his surprise, and smiled.

"Brother Jade, please take care of yourself too. Bye bye!" And I waved again before running to catch up with Al.

At that time, I wasn't able to catch up the change in emotion in Jade's eyes.

I wasn't able to see through his glazed and melancholic eyes.

Maybe if I did, then I would have known why he was out in the middle of the night.

"Al, how are you going to go back to your home?" I asked as we returned to our once meeting place.

"Probably the same way I sneaked out. In this hour, everyone in my house are still sleeping. How about you?" He turned to me and waited for my reply.

"Same. I'll just climb back the walls again and tiptoe inside. Just hope that Father isn't awake doing paperworks again." Al looked at me with a raised brow as if asking 'seriously?' yet only shook his head when I asked what is it. The road was dark and things were almost unnoticeable so it was a bit hard to navigate through. Soon after, Al and I went on separate ways in order to go back to our respective houses.

Sneaking back to my room wasn't that much of a hassle than when I went out. I successfully sneaked in and immediately changed my clothes to pajamas then dragged my small tired  body towards the bed and huffed as I jumped on it.

Today's stroll was not bad, in fact I had fun. Walking around in a crowded area full of life did lessen the stress I had after my reincarnation. Sure, it didn't show much the pressure I am in with all the childish antics I had with my friend and family, but it still cannot hide the fact that in this world, I am an outsider.

And I am scared.

I snuggled my head deeper to the soft pillows, as if seeking comfort. The fatigue slowly consumed me, and with useless efforts of removing my unease, I fell asleep while still buried in thoughts.

The next day, much to my surprise and slight amusement, Mother had suggested for our family to do a stroll in town. I remembered the events of last night and couldn't help but giggle, which earned confused stares from my parents but luckily they merely thought that I was elated with the idea of the outing. I also didn't say anything and just happily skipped like a perfectly normal kid.

As soon as we got into the inner part of the town, Mother gave a rare suggestion of walking around instead of staying inside the carriage. Of course, I agreed immediately and went down. Strolling the streets at night while in disguise feels different from walking under the bright sun without sneaking around, after all.

We haven't strolled far from a jewelry shop we entered when I suddenly heard some voices coming from the alley adjacent to it.

"---damn punk! Didn't we tell you to get money as fast as last night?? Yet you actually dared to run away! "

"You bastard should just be sold as a slave! This way you can pay us back and finally have a use, you trash!"

"Hey, don't you guys think his face is actually decent? I bet he'll be priced higher than average from the ones we sold off last time. "

"Ohhh~ I think I'd rather have a taste first to check his quality. Hey brat, you heard us, right? Since you can't pay back the money then use your body instead! "

"P-please... Don't... "

As soon as I heard that voice, I immediately sprinted and turned towards the direction of the commotion. The scene I saw made my eyes go wide, both in shock and anger.

"Let go of him!"

It was the brother Jade that I met last night, his beautiful face full of dirt and grime while his body covered in injuries, all the while on the ground being pinned by four ugly shameless pigs.
