This is me.

The girl from last summer.

Honestly, l don't know how we girls do it sometimes or rather how l do it.Sometimes l feel like socialising with boys is cool but then l tend to feel like my friends and l are okay.l want both, neither l just don't know.l tell you,this teen thing is so not easy.

Turns out that Tomiks is back and she will be in my class.Well,she is the pretty girl who used to live next door but now she is back.We used to be good friends back then.l even met her last summer when l visited grandma 's ranch.She was having horse riding lessons over there.To some extent she is the one who get me all wanting to try this guy thing, whatever it is.l mean she is got it all;a boyfriend FIY that's not her first,all type of friends and a pretty pretty face like really.

"Selena get down here,you have a visitor." calls my mom

"In a minute." I yell back.

Usually no one comes here on Saturdays whom my mom doesn't recognise. I quickly brush my hair which could really use some oil.l slip into my favs pink sandals and quickly run down the stairs.

"You look neat."she whispers

"Thanks mom."

I am really surprised to see Tomiks cause she hasn't been here in a while.

"Hey you,wanna hang tonight."

She cuts me before l even respond.

"No excuses, you can't sit here and do lame things so please."

"Don't you agree Mrs Kooper?"

"Just go Lena"

I can't refuse mom ever.l grab a bag and we leave.We get in the car and guess who l have to sit next to.The one and only Melvin that's who.Jeez my heart is pounding.What's all this? I will have to do deal with this later.

"Hie Selena."says Melvin breaking our silence.

For a moment l can't speak. Should l say hie back or sup or how are you? At least say something Selena for crying out loud.

"Hie Melvin,how you doing?"

"Guess you didn't know Melvin and l are friends."Tomiks says.

"We have been friends for a while now and he is cool"

l know he is cool that's why l was so excited about making the team. Sitting next to him, made me realise that he is cute.Gosh what's with me today.

"That's nice "l respond

"Before l forget this is Jace the guy l am dating"she says referring to the guy driving.

"Nice to meet you"

"Likewise"he says rather shyly.

"Selena ,you didn't ask where we are going so l might as well get your head chopped off you know."

"Haha real funny Tomiks."

The car stops ,marking our arrival.I had no idea we were coming here.Tomiks is really good.Its been years since l have been to Madame Seus'.She taught us ballet and the like.This place is peaceful and away from all the craziness of the world.

"Selena and Tomika,it's been long."madame greets us with her French accent. I really like how she speaks.

"Madame" we say simultaneously.

One can see her face glow.

"To what do l owe the surprise."

"We would like to dance for a while."Tomiks replies.

"You know lose ourselves a little bit and just let go"

"Of course,you two were my best so why not."

"Thank you." we say.

Question is can Melvin manage this type of dance.Guess l have to find out.

"Selena, please dance with me."

"Sure"

I really don't know what to expect.

"Everyone is familiar with this l assume"says Tomiks as the music starts.

Melvin and l stare for a while before we dance.He is good.When we come close,l can't control my heartbeat rate.What is he doing to me?I soon get lost in the music and so does he.This is strange.l barely know this guy and now l am having a good time with him.l hope l don't regret this later.
