Dance practice

In the end l don't want to regret making the team.

Truth is l am panicking and don't know what to expect. I mean these guys are the best of the best. They are the full package and what am l?Oh,l know. I am the girl who got lucky and now has a spot in the dance team. Well,l kinda did my research on the members by that l mean Cleo. She is sorta the vice captain.So what to note about her:

1.She is flawless. I mean her dancing. Like come on her steps are on point. We should call her the Queen or something.

2.She is a karate ninja.Don't know how that mixes with dance but either way l don't want to get a taste of her (huhaaa skills).

As for the rest of them you need to stay in your lane to be in their good books.

Its time for the practice and l am so nervous my hands are sweating. That's what l get for wanting to swim with the big fish.Its not my fault Sky posted the video. This is all on her.Damn,it feels good to put the blame on someone else.

"Where are you?,l have been standing here for ages."

"Oh,sorry Bianca l didn't realise."

"Lemme guess,you are nervous about the dance team."

"How did you know."

"Selena,you are doing that thing with your hands which means you are extremely nervous."

"Oh,l didnt realise."

"Hey,is there anything else worrying you."

Isn't she the sweetest.Guess l am lucky to have her.She really knows me.How can l tell her that l danced with Melvin and he placed his hand on my...Oh my god what was l thinking. What have l done?

"Selena is there anything you want to tell me cause your silence is worrying me.'

Why does she have to be a such a sweetheart. I don't deserve this.

"I am fine really."

"Okay then,if you say so."

"Come on l will walk you."

"I have told you that you are the best right."

"Only a hundred times."

"Nice,make that a hundred and one."

We reach the door which is going to ruin me and she hugs me tightly before rushing off to her LEOs meeting. I open the door to people clapping and cheering.l just turn back to double check if that is for me.Oh yeah,it is for me.If they continue l might get shy.

"Welcome Selena." says Cleo smiling.

"Thanks."

"Should we start with something simple while we wait for Melvin."

Phew...he is not here yet.But wait what would happen if he was.l really don't know what's wrong with me plus l have no time for this.

So guys before we begin we have to remember that the regional competitions are 2 weeks away which is really soon. All of us need to be on our 'A' game.We haven't won the last two years and l am hoping that with Selena now we can do better. Okay so let's familiarize Selena with what we have been doing.Watch carefully Lena if l may call you that.

OMG the Queen as l call her thinks l am really good.

Let's begin.

"5,6,7,8...move forward,shake,slide....

"You are doing great guys keep it up."

I am really enjoying this plus everyone is super nice.There was no reason to be nervous after all.Not to brag but l am a fast learner and after a few tries l have got it.We take a break and some practice their free dance.

"Sorry l am late." Melvin says as he enters.

"Where were you?, you are usually on time."

"I got caught up in Art class."

" l have to finish that project before Friday and Mr D'souza is making sure that it happens.

" May we continue."

"Hit the music Sam."

Melvin is a natural.

"That's it guys see you tomorrow."

I must say l like this.l finish packing my gym bag only to realise that there is only two of us here.

"You were great Selena."

"You are awesome."l say.

" Uhm about that day.."

"You don't need to explain Melvin,it was a mistake."It can never happen again. I don't know what happened to me.I am not that type girl.It must have been awkward for you as well.l am sorry Melvin. This topic makes me uncomfortable and l really have to go.
