Carly sat behind the wheel of a black 2000 Ford Mustang Cobra in the downtown lights of Loveland, ready to race. She wore a black full-body racing suit along with a black helmet with a clear visor. Carly gripped the steering wheel and reached down to column, finding a silver key in the ignition. She pushed her left foot into the clutch, taking it all the way to the firewall.

The engine snarled to life, a 5.4 Liter Small Block Ford V8. She let the engine warm-up for a few minutes just by letting it idle. It sounded like the cylinders banks fired unevenly. Left, left, right, left, right, right. It sounded throaty with the side pipe exhaust pipes out each side of the car.

Carly pulled the shifter out of first, putting it into neutral, and took her foot out the clutch. The engine idled as they prepped for the race. Chelsea walked over to Carly's side of the Mustang and tapped on the glass. She gave her little sister a thumbs up, telling her they're ready to start.

Carly looked over, seeing this gorgeous 2000 Nissan Silvia S15 with a rocket bunny kit. It was a bright red, plastered with Japanese decals. She smirked from inside the helmet, pushing the clutch in and putting the shifter back into first gear. Carly pushed the throttle in, increasing the rpm that would be suitable for launch.

She gripped the wheel and waited for her in-car GPS to sync up with all the other drivers. After a minute of waiting, all the GPSs sync up. The GPS sat on the dash, pointed towards Carly. She would be able to glance at it and know where to go.

Three circles are displayed in the center of the GPS. Red. Red. Red. Then all three changed to green at the same time, signifying the start of the race. She dumped the clutch and launched the Mustang easily, getting a little bit of wheelspin but nothing uncontrollable.

Carly let out of the throttle for a moment and then got back into it. The Mustang got up to 70 mph and then Carly let out on the throttle and pushed the clutch in all the way. She moved the shifter down to second gear. She released the clutch and got into the throttle evenly. The Silvia next to her kept up easily as they went down the long straight of the track. Carly shifts to third gear, pulling a little bit on the Silvia with her shorter gears. 449 hp isn't bad for an old modified 2000s Mustang. It put the power down.

Carly carefully applied 3/4 of brake power, slowing the Mustang down. She downshifted to second gear, keeping her car in its powerband. She turned, keeping the Silvia beside her driver's side door. The Mustang took the inside line of the track, a tight right-hander. Suddenly the Silvia turned in a little too sharp, clipping the rear fender of the car. Carly gasps as the Mustang goes into a spin, crashing into a concrete barricade and spinning several times. Carly began to panic, trying to correct her car but it was too late.

The Silvias driver ruined his and her race and a couple of other people that were behind them got involved in this accident. Her Mustang caught on fire and Carly began to panic, frantically trying to open the driver's side door but it wouldn't open.

In what used to be where the radio used to be, sat a blue Tac-Force Knife with a window buster. She unstrapped herself from the seat and grabbed the knife. With full force, Carly busted the window with the window breaker on her blade's body. The driver's side window shattered easily.

Carly struggled to climb out of the car, the frame of the car not in great shape. She ran and stood a safe distance from the Mustang, tears falling down her face.

Carly suddenly woke up, breathing relatively fast. She looked over at her alarm clock. 6:25 AM, August 16. She got out of bed and stretched. Carly walked over to her dresser and put on a pair of ripped up skinny jeans and a white blouse.
