Finns Pov

"And where did you sneak off to last night?" My grandma asks as I walk into the kitchen at 1pm, just after waking up. "Caleb's." I yawn. "The best cure to a hangover is not getting drunk in the first place, you know that right?" She asks. I nod.
"So I've heard." I say and she sighs. "If you keep this up you'll never move out. You're 18 and you need to grow up." She says and I nod. "Anyways, I'm going grocery shopping and then to yoga. Have a friend over and there's some money on the counter for pizza or whatnot."
She grabs her keys and purse and walks out of the kitchen. I grab my phone and text Caleb and Gaten.
Finn: hey wanna come over
Gaten: duh
Caleb: oh why the hell not
-
"My sister told my parents I had a party." Caleb says. "You're screwed." Gaten laughs. "I'm dead for sure." Caleb sighs. "At least your parents care about you." I say.
We're all laying on my bed, two empty boxes of pizza on the floor. "I'm sorry man." Caleb says. "It's fine. But hey, I wouldn't know you guys if they loved me like normal parents." I say.
"Yeah or if you weren't bi." Gaten says and Caleb hits him. "Dude-" "No, it's true." I close my eyes. "It's true." I say. "But the thing is," I say, opening my eyes. "Is that my grandma doesn't give a single shit about me either.
"Sure she does." Caleb says. "No, she doesn't." I say. "She knows I snuck out. She knows I got hella drunk. She knows. But she doesn't care. Today was the first time she told me to grow up, but then she totally changed the subject." I say.
We hear the door downstairs open. "I'm home." My grandma yells. "Speak of the devil." I say. "Welcome home Ms. Wolfhard!" Gaten yells. "Wanna go to the skate park?" Caleb asks. We all get up and go downstairs.
-
We get there, skateboards in hand, and I spot the girl with short brown hair and her friend. "Who's that that you're checking out?" Caleb asks. "I don't know." I say. "What do you mean?" Gaten asks.
I look at them again. They're sitting in the grass under a tree. Her friend has black wavy hair and seems to be always smiling.
"I don't know his name."

Jacks Pov

I wake up to my phone buzzing. I tiredly pick it up and read the text.
Millie: wanna go to the skate park and watch cute guys
Jack: ofc
Millie: see you there <3
She's always wants to go there when she wants to talk.
I go out of my room and down the hallway. My dad is passed out on the couch, empty beer bottles everywhere. I open the door and walk out of my house. I grab my bike and go toward to the skate park.
I find Millie under a tree sitting with her legs straight out, her hands on the grass to support her. She's watching the skaters. "Hey." I say, sitting next to her. "Hi." She says. "What's up?" I ask. "I've just been thinking about my dad." She says.
"Oh." I say, looking at the skaters. I look to toward Millie but past her to some guys who are looking at us. Millie turns her head too and notices them. "Who are they?" I ask. "The tall one with the curly hair is annoying." She says like she actually knows him.
They quickly turn and walk down the path to the park. "That's the one from the record shop." I notice and she nods. "He wanted to take me to his house after the party." She lays down on the grass.
"Major oof." I laugh and she chuckles. "So what's on your mind?" I ask and she sits back up. "I don't know. I miss him I guess. Although he treated my mom and I like shit." She says. "Your dad? The one who abuses you. You miss him." "I don't know...I guess I just miss how he used to be." She sighs as she lays down on her back. I lay down next to her. "Mills, you say you miss how he used to be, but he was always like this..." I say. "You haven't known me my whole life."
"I kinda have." I chuckle. "We've been friends for a while and you've told me literally everything he's done. I don't think he was ever any better than he is now."
"Well, I mean, he used to be a decent person. He wanted to make me happy." She says in an attempt to convince me. "Did he?" I question. "I don't-" She stops, noticing that the guys from before were looking at us again. One of them accidentally makes eye contact with me and quickly looks away. The one from the record store.
"It's too bad he is the way he is. He's kinda cute." Millie admits. "I wish I could disagree." I laugh. "Let's go." I say, standing up and she follows. I see her still looking at him. "Is there something I can help you with?" The boy yells from across the skate park, and his friends look at us and the other skaters look in our direction, but keep going.
"Come on," I grab Millie's hand and we start to go. We get to the parking lot and head toward the sidewalk when some skaters come up behind us. "Following us now, are you?" Millie laughs. "Yeah, actually." A smaller one, but no smaller than me, with curly hair says. I see the taller one with curly hair looking at me. The one as tall as him with darker skin was looking at the smaller one, smiling.
"I'm Finn." He says, looking at me. He points to the smaller one, "This is Gaten," he points to the dark skinned one, "This is Caleb." He says. Millie and I stand there, not super sure of what's going on.
"And you are...?" Gaten asks. "I'm Jack." I say. "I'm Millie." Millie says. "Why are you talking to us?" I ask. "Because, you're perfect." Finn looks at me in the eyes. "I'm sorry, what?" I ask.
"I need you to help me. With a thing." Finn smiles. I look at him. His dark brown eyes are shimmering in the sunlight and his smile is perfect. "What do you need help with?" I ask, confused.
"Revenge." Finn says and I grab millie's hand. "Not interested." I say, turning us around and we start walking. "Wait," Finn says, but we keep walking. "Wait this sounds interesting." Millie says, as I keep pulling her along the sidewalk.
"I don't want to get involved with him. He seems sketchy to me." I say. She stops, pulling her hand out of my grasp. Finn nearly runs into her. I turn around and see Millie looking at Finn. "What do you want of him?" She asks. "Millie stop." I plead.
"I want him to pretend to be my boyfriend." Finn looks at me with a relaxed face.
"Aren't you a senior? I'm only a junior." I say, crossing my arms. "Come on, Buttercup." Finn looks at me. Millie looks at me and I shake my head. "What if I payed you?" Finn looks at me. "No." I say. "Ok but you'd only have to be around me at school." Finn continues trying to get me to do it.
"I'd rather not be around you at all." I say. "Why do you even need me?" I ask. "I need to make my ex girlfriend jealous." "Girlfriend?" Millie and I ask at the same time. "I'm bi." He smiles.
