Millies Pov
I wake up with a jolt. My blurry vision fades and I panic realising i'm not in my room. I sit up, a pounding headache kicking in.
"Well good morning sweetcheeks." I turn myself around and see Finn leaning on a pillow next to me, on his phone.
Suddenly, memories from last night came flooding into my brain. We kissed. I quickly look under the covers to make sure my clothes are on and thank god they're on.
"Did we..?" I start to ask and he shakes his head. "No." He laughs. I sigh in relief. "Would it have been so bad if we did?" He asks, looking away from his phone.
"Yeah, actually." I say. "How did I get here?" I ask.
"How do you think?" He asks, like it's obvious. "I drove you here. Don't be so obtuse." He says. "I thought you live in your car." I mention.
"I do for the most part. This is my grandma's house were in." He looks around the room, and that's when I look around, noticing the walls are beige and there's pictures of people on the walls. Probably his family.
He leans over to the nightstand and hands me a small pill and a glass of water. "Should help with your hell of a headache." He chuckles.
"I've been to a lot of partys. I gotta tell you, I've never seen anyone so drunk." He states and I roll my eyes.
"Nothing to be ashamed of, but something must be wrong with your life if you got as drunk as you did." He says, sounding more serious.
I look at him and he does looks sort of worried. I look away as I place the pill on my tongue and take a sip of the water.
"So what's up?" He asks and I don't reply. "Millie i've been through shit and so have you. I get it. You can tell me and I can help you." I still don't reply.
"I don't have to attend every conversation I'm invited to." I abruptly state. "Ok fine. Sorry." He
sounds a little put back by my words.
"Anyways, it's almost 10. We're late for school." He says and I raise my eyebrows. "I can't be late for school." I say, standing up. "That's too bad cause you already are." He smiles and I furrow my eyebrows?" Why didn't you wake me up?" I ask, raising my voice.
"Shh, my grandma will-" "Finn? Who are you talking to?" There's a know on the door and the doorknob starts to turn but doesn't because it's locked.
"Uh, no-one." He stutters. "Open the door." She says back. Finn jumps up and shoves me under his bed.
He goes over to the door and unlocks it and turns the doorknob. I see a pair of feet with light pink fuzzy slippers take a step inside of his room.
"Why aren't you at school?" She asks. "I- my- I went to- um- uh- a party." He manages to spit out. "What did we talk about?" She asks. "I don't know. Something about how I'm not taking care of myself?"
"If you want to keep a roof over your head here, your going to have to learn to take responsibility." She says sternly.
"It's not like I live in my car most of the time already." He fights back. "I'm this close to sending you back to your parents." She says.
"No, you can't do that. They wouldn't let you." Finn sounds worried, but more mad. "Well, your father is my son. I can make him do what I want him to do." She turns around and walks out of the room.
Finn closes the door with a sigh. "Shit." He mutters. I come out from under the bed. "She threatens me with that every time. One of these times she'll actually ship me back to Vancouver." Finn runs a hand through his hair.
