Worlds Collide

Chapter 1

Ashley the Hedgehog, fourteen year old "hero", decided to take a walk through one of her favorite places: Green Hill Zone. She loved climbing on the different tiers and sitting under the occasional tree. That day, however, she didn't realize her immediate danger as she sat under one of the afore mentioned trees and began to doze off.

Eggman saw his chance. He swooped down in his Egg-o-matic and picked her up with its newly-installed mechanical arm.

Ashley immediately woke up to the chill of the cold metal. It took a split second for her to recognize where she was and yell "CHAOS SPEAR!"

An emerald-green spear, crackling with energy, formed in her left hand. She threw it at the top of the Egg-o-matic as she wrestled herself free, landing safely on the ground.

Eggman just laughed his Santa-like laugh. The Chaos Spear had missed.

"What are you laughing at, Fatass?" Ashley shouted at him.

Orbot and Cubot closed the capsule around her as Eggman pressed a button on his control board. The capsule closed tightly, and Ashley rolled her eyes.

They looked at each other for a full minute.

"Basking in the glory of catching me in glass?" asked Ash, crossing her arms and shifting her weight to her left.

"No. Well, that too, I suppose." Eggman stroked his moustache. "I'm trying to figure out where I should make you go."

Ashley cocked her head. "You can't make me go anywhere. I suggest you make yourself scarce before I make you." She paused. "Unless, of course, you want to have a really bad headache for the rest of your life."

"My dear, that capsule you're stuck inside, it can make you go anywhere on Mobius! Against your will."

Ashley said nothing as Eggman landed and walked to her.

"Goodbye, Gineva," he said, pressing the button in his hand.

"Wait!" Ashley cried, but the cage had risen into the air, gaining speed as it went higher and higher. It zoomed out of the atmosphere and flew away from Mobius altogether.

"No!" Ashley screamed, pressing herself against the side of the capsule closest to the distant planet.

Back on Mobius, Eggman watched as the capsule zoomed out of sight.

"Who messed with my button!" he snapped at Cubot and Orbot.

"Cubot took his oil into your lab," Orbot said. "Perhaps he spilled it on your button."

"Cubot!"

Ashley: Why??

Why what?

Ashley: Why did you do this to me?! I'll never see home again!

Oh, don't be overdramatic.

Ashley: So I will?!

I ain't giving any hints.

Ashley: You're impossible....
