The next day, Shin-hye is at peace. The mean officemates are not bugging her. It is like a calm before a storm. Everything goes well. Shin-hye presents her presentation perfectly. She eats her lunch without distractions. Her quarter in the office are well-organized and they are all happy. Then, Ji Won shows up. Shin-hye's friends tell her to leave and stop pestering Shin-hye. Ji Won tell them if they can leave for a moment and she wants to talk with Shin-hye. Krystal tell her, "If there is someone who should be leaving, I think it is not us, but you." Shin-hye steps in and asks them to leave. Krystal hesitates to leave but eventually leaves. Shin-hye asks her what she is going to say. Ji Won tell her she is sincerely sorry. Shin-hye see the sincerity of Ji Won and forgives her. Ji Won hugs Shin-hye and bid a goodbye. After a while, Krystal asks Shin-hye what happened. Shin-hye tell her that Ji Won said she is sorry. Krystal reminds Shin-hye that it may be her tactics and Shin-hye assures her that Ji Won looks sincere in her apology.
After a week of the reconciliation of Shin-hye and Ji Won, the mean officemates stop pestering Shin-hye. Then, Mr. Gerald asks Shin-hye to come to her office. Mr. Gerald give a letter to Shin-hye and tell her that it is from Ji Won. He also tell him that Ji Won resigns and she asks him before she leaves that she wants Shin-hye to take over what she left. Shin-hye tell Mr. Gerald that she can only accept that proposal if all the boards agrees that she can handle it like Ji Won. Mr. Gerald tell her that he understands and they will talk it again after the meeting.
Shin-hye reads the letter of Ji Won inside the bathroom cubicle. The letter states:
"Shin-hye. I'm really sorry for what I have done to you. I think all this triggers because of my insecurity. I made myself believe that I was the only one who can make this team perfect, but when you came, people started compared our ideas and they most voted your ideas which made me felt distressed. I know it is not your fault. I am very thankful to what Seo-jun did to me. If he did not asked for break-up, I don't think I will ever realized that I'm slowly turning into a monster. Shin-hye, I hope one day, when we meet in the streets, we can smile and be friends. I hope I'm not asking for too much. Sorry again, Shin-hye and Thank you. Sincerely, Ji Won."
Shin-hye cries and texts Ji Won that she receives her letter and she hopes that the next time they'll meet, they can be friends again.
Shin-hye go back to her office and see a stuffed toy and the sender is from Ji Won.
