The Opposite Wonderland

I woke up sweating in my bed. I looked to my left, I see no one but my mirror and the kitten that I was taking caring of, who looked he was crying. I tried picking him up and comforting him but someone was holding my hand tightly, I turned around to see my mom crying and my grandmother comforting her, trying not to burst out crying as well. I touched my mom's hand. She looked up and hugged me tightly.

"My son, your awake. I was so worried, I thought you died." She said crying.

"Mom what happened?" I said.

"You were in a coma for 3 weeks."

"I was in a coma? But why?" I asked questionly.

"Nathaniel, you were in a car accident. So was your mom. But her injuries weren't as bad yours."My grandmother said.

"How come you didn't take my mom and I to the hospital, or call 911?"

"I tried but 911 wouldn't want pick up the phone. Also I took you guys to the hospital, but it was closed then I took you and your mom to another hospital but the lady said that all the hospitals are closed for the next five weeks. So I treated you and your mom injuries myself."

"Oh, I see." I looked down.

"Also your kitten was crying the most. He misses you. He never left your side, didn't even try to eat or drink anything for 3 weeks, but in the end, he ended up coming to us for that after 1 minute, tried to pull a allnighter, but again it failed. He misses you so much Nathaniel." She went to the other side of my bed and picked him up, he was crying. She then stretched out her hands to give him to me. I gently took him.

I looked at his soft round face. He is so adorable. I rubbed his head, which got his attention. He smiled than rubbed his head against my chest.

"I guess we better leave, Aculina." My grandmother said clearing her throat.

"That would be a good idea, let's give him some time with 'his baby.'

"Mom."

"Haha, well I'll talk to you tomorrow."

She then kissed my cheek and rubbed my head. Then she went out the room. I looked down to this kitten who is happy to see me. I started to play with him a little bit. Then a couple minutes later he fell asleep on my chest.

"Hah, cute."
