The Opposite Wonderland

9pt.3

It has been 4 hours since I been hiding in Alexis's house. I have stayed in a bedroom that I found upstairs and kept quiet. But I did manage to look around the room for a little while, but that came to a complete stop because I heard Aurelia singing across the block. So I stayed silent for the next couple of minutes. Until I heard something fall onto the ground right next to me.

I turned around and picked it up. It was a book. It had no title on it so I opened it up. All the pages were blank.

'I guess it must have been a journal then.' I thought.

Then I began to close the book, but then I saw letters appearing on the pages saying.

'Don't close me. Read me.'

So I went to the first page and began reading quietly.

'Why have you done this to me my love. You left me in this horrible place. You left me in this place I call home. What have I done to you to make you leave me and go find someone else? Huh? You know I'm getting tired of your bullshit. I'm filled with anger from you leaving me. I want you back and I want you now. No matter what trouble I get in. All I know is I'm getting you back.'

I closed the book and each page slowly turned into fire. Which made me throw the book towards the other side of the room. But it still kept on burning until I saw something coming out the book. It looked like a hand trying to grab me. So I got up and ran to the door. But the burning hand yanked me to the ground pulling me to it. I kept on struggling trying to get out of its hold but the hand kept on getting hotter and hotter.

I couldn't take it anymore, it was becoming more painful. Until I felt the hand letting go of me. I then realized that the little fairy came out of my shirt and was putting out the fire and making the hand go back in the book. Then I gently grabbed the fairy and left a little opening so the fairy could breathe, then ran out the door.

...

I ran down the stairs to see Alexis just looking out the window with tears in her eyes. I ran towards her to get her attention. She quickly wiped her tears and looked at me with a questionable look.

"What are you doing out of your hiding place? And what's that mark on your leg?" She said.

"There's no time for questions! We need to get out of here now." I said in a serious tone.

She grabbed my hand. We walked quietly towards the front door. She unlocked the door and opened it. When we walked out I closed the door. Once I turned around, I saw Aurelia looking at me angrily.

"Why would you run away from me my love? Why?" She said moving closer to him.

"Leave me alone, Aurelia. I don't want to talk you."

"Oh, why not?"

I kept quiet not wanting to answer her, but she kept on asking the same question again and again. Until she had enough and choked me.

"Answer me no-"

She turned around to see Alexis staring at her. Her grip became lighter on my neck. Which made it very easy for me to breath and escaped from her hands. I quickly got in front of Alexis. Which just made her even more upset. But she just smiled it off as if it was nothing.

"So since you're not going to talk. Where's that little fairy?"

"The fairy has already left-"

Then we all heard a little sneeze coming from my hand. She looked down and saw the fairy. She quickly  grabbed my hand and tried to take the fairy out of my hand. I pushed her roughly towards the ground and made a run for it so did Alexis.

But once we ran towards a corner we saw a hungry pack of wolves just forming a circle around us. Alexis started to raise her arms over her head and yell the loudest she could. I started to walk back slowly and grab anything I could touch and throw it towards them, but it won't work. The wolves kept on becoming more vicious. We just started to move back slowly. Until Alexis stepped on the heel of her foot and fell onto the ground.

The wolves started charging towards us. I quickly grabbed Alexis's hand and pulled her up and started to make a run for it. But they kept on chasing us. As I was running, I looked back to see all the wolves have stopped chasing us and Aurelia just standing there with very angered look on her face, but then it turned to a very wide smile.

I turned around and just continued running with Alexis and gently holding the little fairy in my hand. Luckily we ran kinda far away, because the wolves have started to chase us again.

We suddenly stopped in a unknown area. I looked around to see the dead trees swaying left to right and the dead leaves moving across the ground, and the sky turned dark. I than looked at Aurelia and she looked very confused. She than looked at my hand and pointed at it. I looked down, my hand was glowing. I opened my hand, the little fairy came out. Making a little light around it. I looked at the fairy in confusion.

"What the hell is going on?" I said in confusion.

"We're in Death's Forest."

"Death's Forest?" Alexis said in a terrified and confused voice.

"Yes, Death's Forest. This is where many people and creatures die. They either commit sucicide or get excuted here. Such a sad place. Also follow me. I know where to go."

The fairy began to lead the way and we followed it. As we were following it we began to see the leaves falling from the trees showing the deaths of people and animals.

...

We finally made it to a very strange house that the fairy led us to. The fairy flew to the door and did little hand movements to make the door open. Then ushered us, inside the house. Once we made it in, it was pitch black. Alexis and I just stood there in complete silence. Then we saw the fairy light up the whole house. We looked around to see very old paintings and pictures of people on the walls.

Then the fairy came in front of us and showed us around the house. It was quite confusing because there were so many stairs that lead to so many rooms and the paintings just  completely weirded me out because I felt like they were watching me. But anyways I got distracted by that fairy taking me to another room.

It led me to a room where there was a huge piled of books on the ground, a huge bed, and the candles that lit up the whole room. I walked towards the huge piles of books and picked one up, it had no title and it was a very dark blue and red color. I was about to open it but the fairy just stopped me from doing that.

"Don't open that book."

"Okay, but is there a reason why?"

"Well, that book is- is cursed."

"Cursed? How did the book become cursed?"

"I really don't know, but all I heard is that if you see a very dark blue and red book with no title. Its cursed."

"Okay, thank you for telling me. I appreciated."

"You're welcome, also I didn't get to introduce myself, my name is Ubon Apichai and yours?"

"Cheslav Solov."

"Okay, now I'll be heading on out and let you get your rest. We have went through alot lately and we need a break."

"Yeah, that's true. Anyway where's Alexis?"

"Oh her. I took her to her room already. While you were so observed about the paintings I took the chance to take her to her room."

"Oh, I see. Anyways goodnight."

"Goodnight."

Then the fairy went out the room and I just flopped down onto the bed and fell asleep.
