DEMI'S POV:

I rested my head onto my white satin pillow before reaching for the TV remote, once I was able to grip onto the object I pressed the power button which caused the TV screen to light up. It was 10p.m on a Monday night which was my cue for my nightly Netflix before bed routine.

I slightly rolled over in the king sized bed to face the bathroom door that was located across the room, "Hey! Can you hurry up in there? I haven't seen my gorgeous wife all day and this big ass bed is feeling kind of empty!"

Instead of Lauren flinging the door open and dashing out to meet me, the door slowly opened with a squeak and she peaked her head out with a faint smile.
I rose my brow as I slid back down onto my pillow, "What is it?"
"I need to ask you something..." Lauren calmly approached me as she sat on the edge of the bed.

I watched Lauren's awkward body language as she gripped onto the collar of her hideous fluffy light green robe, "What's up Baby?" I asked with a sweeter tone.
"Melody's last day of school is on Friday right, so what if we all take a nice summer trip? Just so we can all relax for a week or two? Especially after this tough school year... I feel like Melody deserves it." Lauren replied.

I slightly let out a laugh, "You were scared to ask me this? Of course we can take a trip. God knows we all need one." Just as I was about to hit the Netflix button on the remote Lauren continued, "Melody and I talked about this yesterday... we had our eyes set on taking a trip to a gorgeous lake house in Canada..."

I took a deep breath as I focused my attention on Lauren again, "A lake house? As in a house surrounded by water on a lake?"
"Yes, Demi."
"No, Lauren. How about Disney world?"

Lauren began to scoot closer towards me on the bed, "My love... just listen to me for a second okay? You're eventually going to have to get used to being around large amounts of water again, you won't even have to take a step into the lake. "

My body immediately tensed up at the thought, "Is that really what you and Melody want to do this summer? Like truly?". Lauren nodded, "I promised her that I would try my best to convince you. Like I said you won't even have to go into the water, you can tan the entire time or read... write some music."

Scared of disappointing my family, I decided to shove my fear of water as far as I could to the back of my mind, "Fine. Let's do it. I honestly do need to become more adjusted with being around large amounts of water again... the fear will always be there but I shouldn't let it control my every move an take away my joy." I admitted.

A wide smile began to spread across Lauren's face, "Really? Oh my God Mel is going to be so fucking excited!"

Just as I was about to roll over to get comfortable before focusing on Netflix again, I was immediately smothered by kisses from Lauren. Before I knew it made her way on top of me and sat in a straddled position, once she leaned over I was attacked with a range of passionate and silly kisses.

"You're the best baby, this trip is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to book everything tomorrow morning." Lauren smiled before rolling off of me to make her way to her designated side of the bed.

After watching Netflix for thirty minutes Lauren was fast asleep and cuddled up on my shoulder. I laid in the dark staring straight up at the ceiling as my mind continued to over analyze the trip that hasn't even been booked yet.

I'm going to fight to make sure that this trip can meet my family's expectations to the best of my ability.
