"I know what you're trying to do, Anna. You think you're gonna get away with it, but you're not. I'll figure something out, don't worry."
What did that even mean?
I'll figure something out.
I couldn't help but think of what he was "figuring out". What the hell was he going to do, punish me? I laughed softly. As if.
I finished wiping off the counter and set the rag down, sighing softly. One of my coworkers, Jess, walked up to me.
"Someone seems smiley. What's gotten into you?" She teased, poking my arm. I rolled my eyes.
"Nothing. Just this super hot guy I've been talking to for a couple weeks." I winked.
"You gotta show him to me, Anna!"
I laughed softly.
"Fine. Here." I said, taking out my phone and opening a picture of Spencer.
"Oooh girl, you better snatch him up! Guys that good looking are one in a million at least."
I shrugged.
"He's been playing kind of hard to get, so I decided I would too. But now I'm kind of nervous because he caught on and now I know he's gonna up the ante." I laughed again.
Jess folded her hands and rested her chin on them, looking like a child who was about to be told a bedtime story.
"Do tell, Anna. And don't spare all the juicy details."
I smiled and rolled my eyes.
"Well every time we hang out he can't keep his eyes off of me. It's like he's studying everything about me. But anyways, we went to dinner last week and I decided to be a little tease as revenge for him being one a couple days before. I would touch his arm, bat my eyelashes, just little flirty things. I guess that got him a little hot and bothered because when he took me home, he said he'd 'figure something out'. Now I don't know what that means, but I really want to find out." I smirked. Jess raised an eyebrow.
"That's fucking hot, Anna. Have you guys kissed at all yet?"
I shook my head.
"We've come very close a couple times, but like I said he's a damn tease."
"Make the move, girl! Maybe it'll end up as more than just a kiss, eh?" She winked and nudged my arm. I laughed.
"Maybe."
I looked up and noticed a familiar figure walking towards the door.
"I guess this is your chance to meet him, Jess." I said softly, causing her to giggle and walk off. Spencer walked in and took off his sunglasses, smiling a little at me.
"Hey."
"Hey, yourself." I said, smiling back at him. He laughed a little and leaned against the counter, never losing eye contact with me. I swear I could fall into those green eyes of his.
"What can I get you? Or are you just gonna stare at me for the remainder of my shift?"
He laughed softly.
"An iced chai latte."
"Such a basic bitch." I teased, he flipped me off and laughed again. I rang him up then started making his drink, and once I was done I brought it out to him.
"What brings you over here today?" I asked, sitting down next to him.
"I just wanted to see you." He said, tracing one his fingers up and down my inner thigh, giving me goosebumps. I bit my lip.
