I stepped out of the shower, wrapping my towel around me then looking in the mirror as I wiped off the steam. I sighed softly and started drying my hair when suddenly, my phone buzzed. It was my best friend, Aaliyah.

Ali
Are you ready yet? We were supposed to leave like 45 minutes ago!
Helloooo???
ANNA

Me
Calm your tits. I just got out of the shower. I'll be ready in a few. Go ahead and start driving over

I quickly got ready and went outside, just in time for Ali to pull up. She smiled at me.

"Come on, slowpoke! I heard the party's already started without us!"

I laughed softly and got in.

"Shut up and step on it, impatient ass."

We walked around the house to the backyard, where several people were grinding on each other to the loud music the DJ was playing. Drunk girls were squealing and splashing each other in the pool, and I'm pretty sure there was a couple doing more than just making out in that jacuzzi. There was a bar close by the house where quite a few people closely watched the bartender mix their drinks in an unnecessarily showy fashion. I leaned close to Ali.

"Who's party even is this? This place is huge!"

She shrugged.

"I just heard about it from someone, I didn't catch who was throwing it." She said, leading me into the house. I almost preferred it back outside. At least it wasn't packed like a can of sardines. I looked around. Seemed like the normal party scene; crowds of guys staring at girls, more people grinding drunkenly on each other to the music. My eyes suddenly stopped on someone. Definitely my type. Covered in tattoos, dark side swept hair, gauged ears, black clothes. He glanced over with a slight smirk, studying me for a second before turning back to his friend.

"Holy shit." I said under my breath. Ali looked at me and laughed softly.

"Did you spot something, Anna?"

I smiled slightly.

"Maybe." I said, starting towards him. He turned again and smiled, his eyes almost lighting up.

"Hey." I batted my eyes at him. He looked me up and down then took a sip of his drink.

"Hey, yourself."

God, his voice was more intoxicating than the alcohol being served here.

"I'm Vivianna, but everyone calls me Anna."

"Spencer. Nice to meet you." He smiled. "What brings you here? You looked like a lost puppy when you walked in." He laughed a little. I was fucking melting.

"My friend brought me here. I have no idea who's house or party this is, honestly."

"Truth be told, I don't either." He laughed again, taking another sip.

"Wanna go outside where it's a little quieter and smells less like bad weed and cheap booze?" I asked. Spencer smiled and nodded, following me outside to one of the quieter corners of the backyard, where we found an unoccupied bench.

It felt like we talked for hours. He was almost too charming for his own good. Something about him was mysterious and I was hellbent on finding out what it was.

Eventually the party was coming to an end and before we knew it, there were Ubers lined up in front of the house waiting to pick people up. I stood up from my seat, followed by Spencer.

"I had a great time talking to you, Spencer." I smiled, biting my lip slightly. He smirked.

"Me too. We should hang out again sometime, some place where there's not so many screaming drunk people and loud music." He laughed softly.

"I'd like that."

He started to lean close but was quickly interrupted by a very tall, very lanky blond who I'm assuming was his friend from earlier.

"Spencer, lets go!" He yelled drunkenly, waving him over. Spencer rolled his eyes and chuckled.

"I gotta go. See you later?"

I nodded, waving at him as he walked away. I sighed softly and looked at the remains of my drink.

"Oooh, who was that hottie?" I heard a familiar voice approach me.

"His name is Spencer." I smiled slightly, keeping my eyes down. Ali laughed.

"Did you guys hit it off? Like are you gonna hang again?"

I shrugged.

"Maybe."

Ali smiles and grabbed my hand.

"Come on, lets get home before it gets too late and you can tell me all about that cutie pie."

I followed my friend back to her car and we drove back home. Once I got into bed, Spencer was all I could think about. There was just something about him, something I couldn't quite figure out. I wanted to know more.

I needed to know more.
