Chapter 6: Sister
After the two finished their breakfasts, Seneca began packing for their trip to his people's village. Oliver watched him grab an animal skin pouch and fill it with some kind of fruit, which he then tied loosely around his hips. He also took the bow and arrows he had used to hunt earlier, strapping them across his back. Once he seemed ready, he held out a hand to Oliver, leading him from the cave and back down the small path from the prior day.
"My people like to keep to themselves, so, though a family will live together, the village itself can span over a wide area as we do not like living in large groups. You will understand when we arrive." He briefly glanced at the sky before continuing, "It will not take too long, we should arrive before the sun is centered in the sky."
Oliver nodded, sighing a bit to himself at the idea of walking so far. Sen might be used to this, but Oliver had lived a life with shoes, his feet didn't have the same callouses, and therefore he was already feeling a bit sore just from the rocky path to and from the cave.
Just suck it up, it's not that bad you idiot.
Oliver berated his complaining silently, it really didn't hurt that much, or so he told himself. Plus, he didn't want to bother Seneca any more, he'd done that enough already as is.
Sen had led them into the forest, which Oliver had yet to see, outside of looking at it from the lake and cave. He padded closer to Sen now, feeling uneasy at the new surroundings. The underbrush was thick with different plants, and though he couldn't see any clear path, Seneca seemed to know exactly where he was going. Oliver felt a bit better knowing that, and watching tan back in front of him, feeling safe just in his presence.
*Le time skip*
Oliver figured they had been walking for about two hours now, although he couldn't really know as the trees blocked most of the sunlight and he wasn't well versed in that kind of thing anyway. Regardless, the path they were on had started to incline and grow a bit rougher, and although Oliver didn't want to admit it, his feet were in a lot of pain. The small stones and odd spiky plants around them were leaving small cuts on his souls and ankles, but he was trying his best to not let on to Sen about his pain. He had taken to distracting himself by watching the strange birdlike creatures in the trees. He hadn't seen many land animals, but these other things were everywhere. To be honest, they resembled large butterflies more than birds, but the wings still appeared to be feathered, although, from the distance they were at, he really couldn't tell.
Oliver gasped as he ran into the slightly damp chest of Sen, who had stopped and turned around while Oli had been distracted. He backed up a bit, looking up at the taller boy questioningly.
"You're bleeding," Seneca stated, looking pointedly at Oliver's cut and beaten feet.
"Oh, yeah, b-but it's fine! I can keep going..." Oliver mumbled, feeling ashamed at being so weak.
Seneca took his bow and arrows off his back, fixing the arrow pouch to his waist belt and turned around, crouching. "We're not far; I will carry you the rest of the way."
His statement left no room for argument, and honestly, Oliver was too tired to fight him on it anyway. He climbed on Seneca's back gingerly, feeling a bit awkward as his dick ended up pressing into Sens naked back. He blushed, but Sen didn't pay it any attention. He softly gripped the other man's shoulders but ended up having to wrap his arms around Sen's neck tightly once he stood so that he wouldn't fall, and once he had settled, the two were off again.
"Um, how did you know about my feet?" Oliver asked, his chin resting on the other boy's shoulder.
"I could smell it."
