"We were expecting you, Y/N."
I wanted to run away. Was it really a bad choice to come here? Not just now, but from the beginning. What was I even thinking? That it would be okay to meet up with criminals, heck, a rival gang, just because I knew them in the past? I'm an idiot!
"Is it true? Are you really here just to spy on us for stray kids?" I could hear Taehyung say. I was surprised to hear his voice actually sound hurt. "It's not true, I-" Yoongi wouldn't let me finish my sentence. "Then why on earth didn't you tell us you were with them? Why did you even come here in the first place?"
A tear escaped my eye. "I wanted to know more about my past, that is why I came here, since you clearly know more about me then I know about myself. But after all of this I think it was the biggest mistake I ever made!" You shouted through the empty warehouse. Quietness filled the room. "You want to know more about yourself? Fine, but leave us alone after that, don't ever try to talk to us again." Despite the harsh words, you could still hear his voice shiver. Regret, pain, but also betrayal.
"Yoongi, don't you thi-" "No Namjoon, I don't want to think this over. If she wants to hide things from us, I don't care, but clearly she only came here for one reason, after this she has no reason to come here again." A weird feeling got stuck in my throat. "If that's what you want to think of me, go ahead, at least I don't kill people!" I yelled and wanted to run out, but Jimin picked me up and stopped me.
"You're not going anywhere until we explained everything Y/N. If you don't hear our part, I think there'd be a huge misunderstanding here." Jimin sat me down in a chair and locked the door behind him, leaving just the two of us. Really uncomfortable, I shifted in the chair a few times, afraid of what was going to happen.
"I'm not gonna hurt you, I just want to explain without those mad men. I don't think they're in the right state if mind to do that right now." He chuckled a bit, but I kept my straight face. Whoever hurts my friends hurts me, no matter for how long I've known them.
"Look, it pretty much started when you were born. Your parents were of royal blood, and had really good friends, our parents. We practically grew up together. We played together, cried together, laughed together, I can't remember anything we didn't do together. When you were about five we were sent away. Since you were of royal blood, you clearly needed a good husband, which is why we were sent to training, on how to become a good 'husband'."
He paused for a second. "After five years of training, it was time for your parents to decide who would become your husband. Your parents had chosen, but after that all hell broke loose. The others were furious, but tried to bribe yours at first. However, when that wouldn't work, they switched to violence, which led to your parents being killed."
He looked down, and I could see tears form in their eyes. "We searched everywhere for you, we thought you didn't survive." He teared up and tried to stay strong, but broke down crying.
All I could think of was hugging him, so I did. To comfort him, to let him know I was still alive, but mainly for me. It's not their fault my parents were killed, it's their fathers. After a long hug he slowly let go. "Yoongi probably suffered the most. He never wanted to give up on you, so he kept on searching for you. After months he came home running, saying he had finally found you. When he told us you were with a gang, we were all shocked, and determined to get you out of their hands. We planned an operation, but it failed miserably. That's when our former strategist got killed... By their hands."
You could see flames in his eyes. "Ever since we decided to become a gang. We had to train in order to win you back, but they were far ahead of us. That's how we became rivals, because of you."
I was unable to speak. I barely knew what to think. All they wanted to do was to save me... How on earth did it get to this? The door slowly opened, revealing all the other members as well. "N/N..." Taehyung started. Right then and there, I broke down crying.
"It's okay" Jimin said as he pulled me closer, hugging me tight. It felt like this whole week had been a lie. As if even my whole life had been a lie. I didn't even know what to think anymore. How bad can these guys be if all they did was wanting to protect me. But from...
Then it hit me. They wanted to protect me from stray kids right? But, they didn't do anything wrong did they? They took me in as if I was one of their own, so why would BTS want to protect me from them?
I didn't even notice the tears had stopped falling, and how confused my face looked until a voice pointed it out. "Y/N, are you okay? You're looking kind of weird" Jhope said somewhat confused.
"Yeah, I was just wondering. You said that stray kids killed your former strategist, but weren't you all really young back then? You couldn't have been older than 18 right? And stray kids as well, they couldn't have been older than 15! I just find it hard to believe that at that age they were already killing people..."
Jimin sighed. "Well, it's wasn't exactly just us and just them. It was pretty much our parents that did the shooting, we were just the 'save-Y/N' squad back then. However, over time our parents learned us how to shoot, how to fight. We wanted to become bulletproof, so that no one could harm us anymore."
"But, if it was their parents that were in the wrong, then why do you hate them so much?" I asked still confused. "It's not just their parents. We tried talking to stray kids too. Convincing them to give you back to us, but they said that we would have to kill them first to get to you. And that's not even all!"
My look became more confused by the second. "What else?" I asked, slightly scared for the actual answer. "They don't even care about you, they're using you to become king! Whoever won your heart first, would become king, and after marrying, they would just leave you alone to rot away! Y/N, don't go back to them."
Are they...?
