I stared down at the two tests that I didn't think I was gonna be taking anytime soon. I looked at it with disbelief and could feel the tears rushing but I tried to stop it.

I felt tears streaming down my face and before I knew it, I was bawling my eyes out.
I then felt Aiyana's arms wrap around me.
"My future is gooooooooone" I said between sobs.
"Sssshhh," Aiyana patted my back, "you don't know that."
"I do know" I kept on sobbing.
"Poor baby, I got you" I heard her say.

After about 31 minutes of crying, my mom came knocking on my door.
"Dinner's Ready" she told us both with a smile on her face.
"Ok, we'll be down in a second" Aiyana told her.
"Ok..." she closed my door.
"You wanna eat something now?" Aiyana asked me.
"I'll try" I nodded.
"Ok...let's go" she helped me out the bed.
"How am I gonna tell my mama??" I asked.
"You don't have to right now if you don't feel up to it."
"But ion wanna Wait too damn long and then it's gonna become a whole misconception."
"How?" She was confused.
I shrugged. "I just don't feel like dealing with her yelling and scolding me later on so I wanna get it over with."
"It's your decision" she said as she walked through the door with me following behind.
When we made it downstairs, we took a seat at the table with food displayed on it.

Since my mom was already sitting, Aiyana and I had sat down right next to each other and started to eat quietly.
"I hope you brought that physics grade up" my mom said to me while she chewed on a piece of chicken.
"Of course I have, mama" I replied.
"Better make damn sure of it cause if it ain't up at all, you ain't getting nothing you been asking me for" she said in a serious tone.
"...ion want none of those things no more at this point" I told her.
"And why not?"
"Because I only need one thing from you right now" I said to her.
"...and that is?"she looked at me with a confused expression.
"Forgiveness...?" It came out like a question.
"What did you do this time, Ken?" She asked me.
"Ian do nothing, but you can take this news however you want" I said then putting my fork down.
"..."
"I'm pregnant" I said then breathed out.
"Sweetie, stop playin with me" she laughed.
"I'm not," I say, "I just took a pregnancy test."
She finally looked at me serious. "How?"
"What to you mean 'how?'"
"You Betta Stop lyin to me..." she said while standing up.
"I'm not lying to you" I said.
"Well you can get the hell up outta my damn house til you handle this situation by yo damn self."
"Mama, please—" she cut me off.
"I'm done for the day, when you're done make sure you clean up and pack your stuff and leave" she walked away from the table and up the stairs.
