Kind of a filler chapter. Thanks for reading.

Damon's POV:

It had been a while since I felt this emotional about something. As soon as I left the room, I got into my car and drove as fast and as far away as I could. If I didn't do it right then, I knew I would go back to her as soon as I could. I wasn't one to beg for forgiveness, but I was sure I would have made an exception that once.

I had no idea where I was going. I just knew I needed to leave the state and get her off my mind. Even though that would have been nearly impossible.

I couldn't see where we went wrong. When things started getting shaky, we went to that damn counseling she insisted on. It was a bummer both of us never did what that woman said. And then the littlest things would make us fight. Things that both of us thought were stupid. We even admitted it. We were together for almost 4 years and had never fought as much as recent.

I picked up my phone and dialed a familiar number.

"Ric, where are you?" I demanded as soon as I heard him pick up.

"I'm in Mystic Falls... Why?" His voice was skeptical. Alaric and I had a love-hate relationship. I loved to hate him.

"I'll see you in a few hours." I hung up the phone and started my drive to Virginia.
