Anna- this is my new book! (Imagine fireworks here... or at least party poppers) I hope you enjoy! It'll be BTS based with NamJin being the main ship but other side ships may or may not emerge *cough* definitely Sope *cough*. X
The list of before-death wishes on his crumpled list was getting shorter therefore meaning he had no more purpose in life.
The "battle scars", or at least that's what most people call them, scatter his entire body making it impossibly painful to get any thing done. He couldn't let that bother him though. He knew in his heart of hearts he deserved it.
All the nights he spent studying so that his parents would finally agree to call him their son were in vain as his own mind eventually led to their family's demise.
From the outside it was obvious to all what went on inside those walls.
From the tempestuous roars that echoed through the neighbourhood to the pained cry's of a broken soul shortly following the crack of what was unmistakably a father's hand on his helpless child the silent observers knew everything yet never said a word.As the abuse got worse so did the young boy's mental state and so the little skin left unscathed from the days events was soon bloodied as a result of his own self-loathing.
His anxiety grew and before he knew it simple tasks such as partaking in personal hygiene were viewed in his mind as the unthinkable.
Everything he saw and did reminded him of his parents and the failure that he was to them.
The boy's room was small, more like a box to sleep in than a place of solace, with only a bed and a bookcase full of educational material that he was required to study for a truly incomprehensible amount of time each day.
It wasn't that his family were bad off or anything. No, his father had a well paying job and his mother owned a small bakery so they had enough for a comfortable life in a nice looking neighbourhood but that didn't automatically make him worthy of having an average sized room. He got what he deserved and so the matchbox room is where he resided.
He only ever had one friend. One person who attempted to have a personal connection with the boy. But as he already knew, life was full of things that weren't meant to be. He wasn't meant to be loved.
So he decided that the route of complete desolation was the only option for someone as unworthy of love as himself.
Utter disappointment. That's all that he's ever brought to anyone who ever dared to get close to a monster such as himself.
He knew it was true because that's what his mother shrieked at him as his father viciously whipped him with a folded belt.
It doesn't matter anymore though because in just a couple of days he'll be 18 and his list will be complete.
