Only Time Can Heal

Ginny POV

It's been a week since the battle of Hogwarts. The clock is showing no signs of changing. George's hand is on 'lost' but he isn't the only one. All our hands are there except Fred's, the clock made a new spot. 'Gone'. Charlie told me about his letter to Fred. I wrote one to George. If he won't let us talk to him, maybe a letter will work.

Dear George,

Haven't you noticed that our family is in pieces? You aren't the only one who's fallen apart. We're all trying to pick up our pieces and put ourselves back together. We need a prank, a joke or even a pun. Anything to make us laugh. We need to smile, to laugh. To be happy again. You don't need to shut yourself out, Charlie and I have been trying to get to you all week. We can help. Meet us at the broom shed after breakfast.

Needing a laugh, Ginny.

I told Charlie about me idea. He liked it. George didn't come to breakfast either. Where did the laughing, joking prankster go? After breakfast we found him waiting with three brooms. "How did you know Charlie was coming?" He simply pointed to the ear he was missing. He had something stuck to one of the brooms. He passed each of us one. He hovered for a moment before flying towards the forest. Charlie looked at me questioningly, I shrugged and followed him.

After we got to the forest we landed by the pond. "What I am about to tell you you can't tell to anyone. And certainly don't go to mum. We are going to save Fred." I grinned for the first time in a week. "How? Don't worry we will do anything we can to save Fred." I nodded, agreeing with Charlie. "Good, sit down. Might take a while and I don't want you falling over from shock." We sat down on a rug of moss. "I can hear Fred."

"What?!"

"I heard him first when I was in Dumbledore's office. He found my ear, the missing one, and he's been talking to me with that so I can hear him. He can hear us you know. He saw Charlie coming with you so I got another broom out. He helped me with the plan to get him back for the rest of us."

"Ohhhhhhh" I said as if it explained everything.

"And what is this plan?" Charlie asked almost owlishly. We were alright with laughing again, we were going to get Fred back!

"Well, once we get to the right time and place, we hide under the invisibility cloak and using the Marauder's Map we watch for Fred, when he comes we Accio him, transfigure a death nibbler's body into his and then we go camping! Simple, right?" I laughed. It was ingenious really.

"Time travel. You aren't seriously going to turn a time turner 168 times are you?"

"Nup, did you ever take ancient runes? We have devised a rune circle to take us back a week. Come on, we're almost at the right time.......... Now!" He yelled grabbing our hands as we travelled back a week.

"Also added a few so we would come out where we need to be."
