This was it. Today was the day. The day I would take the test. At the moment I was in un-essential (non essential group) but was about to take the choosing test. Nervously I dressed in the clothes laid out for me and carefully brushed out my knotty golden-brown hair.

"Mum! I'm ready!" I called out, heading down the wooden stairs.

"Ok honey breaky is on the table!" She replied. Within 5 minuets I had finished and was walking to the car.

The car ride was a blur and in what seemed like seconds I had arrived at school and my mum was wishing me goodbye.

"Goodbye Faith and good luck!"she said before driving down the road and out of sight. Greeting me was my best friends Clara and Finlay. Clara was, as usual, bubbly and jumping up and down in excitement as Finlay twirled her blonde hair around her pale fingers.

"I'm super nervous" she whispered "what if I have to leave my family?!"

"Fin, calm down you'll be fine" I convinced her as Clara rattled on about some cute boys over near the park fence.

I was nervous even though I had been studying the test for a term in class as we silently walked into the testing rooms and awaited further instructions. After being seated names began being called out in alphabetical order with myself closer to the front.

"Faith Eternal" a man said calling me to the test room. "Good luck" he whispered as I entered. This was it, the testing. But, was I ready??
