Faith

Chapter 2

Cautiously I entered the dimly lit room and was greeted by a cold voice.

"Sit" it said. Hesitant I finally sat in the uncomfortable leather chair and listened to my heart pounding in my ears.

" Now, I will inject four different serums to create four different situations for the four different essentials. This will allow you to have different abilities but to pass you must conquer one ability at least. That ability with then be the one essential to choose in the ceremony of the great choosing. Do you understand?" The voice explained

"Yes" I quietly answered and without warning a needle was stabbed into my neck and I blacked out.

I woke to the sound of billowing wind in my ears and the smell of the ocean. When I opened my eyes I was standing on the edge of a cliff with beautiful angel wings on my back.

"Be calm." A voice soothed, "now to pass you must jump off and fly." It ordered. Without hesitating I screamed and jumped. Surprisingly I flew effortless through the blue sky with the wind whipping through my hair. Until I passed out.

This time I woke to a dry grassland and the voice told me to burn everything.

"BURN IT BURN IT BURN IT!!!!!" the voice yelled and with the wave of my hand a giant fiery wave rose around me and crashed down around me burning everything except me. Until again I blacked out.

The odor of sweet flowers greeted me as I rose from the grass covered ground. The deadly voice now ordered me to make everything grow, to grow a forest around me and in one swift movement of my arm it did. Satisfied with my achievement I lay down and annoyingly I passed out. Again.

Once again the smell of salty water greeted me as sand crunched against my feet. this time the ocean called to me, luring me into its watery depths. Without further instruction I dove into the water and suddenly grew a gorgeous green tail.

"Wow! this is awesome!" I thought as I soon mastered the ability to breathe underwater and swim at record breaking speeds before I blacked out.

I woke to the dimly lit room only to find a tall man standing before me with a frown covering his wrinkled face.

"You are in grave danger young lady," he started

"What were my results?" I asked

"Let me finish-"

"Answer my question"

"Fine," "your results were: air, and fire and earth and water"

"What?"

"You are an eternal. You mustn't tell Anyone your results or you will die understand?" he told me. I nodded

" Leave now Faith Eternal, leave to your family" he whispered. Confused I turned and walked carefully out the door and spoke to no one as I headed out the school and towards my house.
