(y'all better not expect anything wild because I really don't think this is the ship for forceful first kisses in a closet)
ps: this is REALLY BAD and cheesy but sometimes you just need some saleb content so if any of you are desperate, here's this (lauren orlando makes an appearance because y not)a party was the last place sydney wanted to be. she had a geometry test on monday and she could definitely be studying right now.
but no. annie guilted her into joining her at the party so she wouldn't be alone. and after she agreed, luke and caleb stepped in and decided to come as well. darn protective brothers.
sydney sat on the couch, a solo cup of soda in her hand that she didn't even want. she was very bored. early on, annie had found some boy she liked named asher and was somewhere with him. luke and caleb were in someone's room playing video games. she actually would've joined them, but the room was crowded and she gave up. after looking for a couple minutes, she found no room where she could quietly read on her phone or text her friends. so there she was, stuck on a couch, observing everyone else.
at some point, most of the party had gathered in the living room to pick a game to play. some idiot suggested spin the bottle, to which nearly everyone groaned. and somehow, when the suggestion to play seven minutes in heaven was brought up, people thought it was better and decided to play it.
annie, who was now next to sydney on the couch, didn't seem to mind the idea much. probably because she was hoping to get sent with asher. sydney, on the other hand was freaking out on the inside. it was expected that everyone liked have a turn and she did not want a turn.
when they first called sydney's name, she said she wouldn't be playing, but everyone decided that they'd go back to her and ask again in the end.
throughout the game, they'd ask sydney again and again. she couldn't understand why they targeted her. she just assumed it was because she was one of the youngest people there, compared to all of the juniors and seniors.soon, someone suggested that caleb should go, which made sydney a bit nauseous to think about. when he hesitated, she internally screamed for him to say no. and to her relief, he did. she smiled to herself. of course she didn't want him to do it for his own sake, but maybe a little for her sake as well. it was very possible that sydney liked caleb. and while she didn't know it, it was very possible that he liked her back.
"sydney! why don't you go with caleb then? if you're both so against it." a girl named lauren suggested. "besides, you two are friends, right?" darn Lauren and her matchmaking.
sydney looked down awkwardly and glanced at annie, who was only slightly shocked. mostly, she had a big grin on her face."that's not fair. don't drag syd into this. she doesn't want to and she doesn't have to." caleb replied from across the room, face red. was he that embarrassed of her?
"you'd rather go with someone else then?" lauren smirked. sydney looked up to caleb, wondering how he'd answer this.
"no," he answered quickly before looking at sydney. "i mean, I don't wanna go at all. neither does she."
"so you do want to go with her?" lauren giggled, winking at annie.
"what? no! lauren, I just said I don't want to." he groaned, getting a little annoyed.
"but it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, would it?" she said, continuing to test him.
his face grew redder, as did sydney's. she was now getting stares as she watched the two talk.
