"My lady, please return to the ballroom!"
Ally who is my maid and good friend since I was a child shouts as I run down the halls of the Kingsley Mansion escaping from going to my dancing lessons which I absolutely despise. I end up running to the third floor from the ballroom on the first floor where I get surrounded by the mansion staff begging me to return to my lessons. But I notice a window behind me and I suddenly smile.
"I'm sorry but those lessons are making me bored, I will return once they are over."
I quickly turn around to push open the big white windows and jump down with no hesitation. My long platinum blonde hair flying upward as I land safely on the green grass.
"My lady."
Wails Ally as she begins to sink down onto the ground while I start running through the streets of red territory heading towards the Red Army's Headquarters to visit my brother. I decide not to go through the front door and straight to their training grounds where I see Jonah and Zero training alongside their soldiers. I just watch silently until a thought passes through my mind that makes me smirk.
"This is going to be fun."
I tell myself as I wait for Jonah and Zero to call for a break. I don't have to wait long before I hear the words wanted to hear come out of Zero's mouth.
"Everyone take a five minute break."
My eyes immediately turn from blue to red, and a wooden training sword begins to levitate and rushes towards Zero at full speed. But being the skilled swordsman he is, he spots it coming and quickly dodges without effort. But that doesn't stop me from launching a counterattack on him, aiming straight for his chest but he defends effortlessly even knocking the sword out of my grip and flinging it onto the ground. Stopping to release a loud sigh, Zero begins to speak in a slightly annoyed tone.
"I know it's you Claire, you can come out now."
I giggle and jump out from my hiding spot behind the rosebush.
"You got me."
But Jonah being the overprotective person he is thinks its a surprise attack and is about to dispatch soldiers. I have to hold him back in order to prevent chaos in the headquarters.
"Hold on Jonah it's just me, no need to dispatch any soldiers."
"Claire?!?! When did you get here?"
"What's with all this commotion this early in the morning?"
"Oh, who do we have here today?"
Asked a hungover Kyle and an always smiling Edgar who just exited from the building and onto the training grounds.
"Good morning guys, hungover as usual Kyle?"
I giggle loud enough for him to hear.
"Yeah, got a problem with that?"
"Not at all."
Zero releases a small smile and turns to me.
"By the way what's with your visit today, here to see your brother?"
"Uh...that's partly why but there's more to it."
"Skipping lessons, as usual."
Thought the all officers who were engaged in the conversation with Claire. I smile knowing exactly what they are thinking.
This is part of the red army's group of officers also known as the chosen thirteen, each side has one group of chosen thirteen which makes a total of twenty six officers who are able to decide the fate of Cradle through their actions and one of them happens to be my brother Lance. He is the King of Hearts or the leader of the Red Army, he currently holds the title I have worked towards for so long but gave up when I found out I could never be able to hold that title no matter how hard I tried. This is because he is older which means even if I was given this title by my father, my brother could overrule me and claim the title with no questions asked. If I told everyone this they may think that I harbor ill feelings toward my brother but I don't. I support my brother and help carry his burden from inside his shadow, I'm like his second pair of eyes whom he can always trust.
