Third Person's POV

"Joshua..." Jihyun hoarsed out. She felt a lump form in her throat, tears welling in her eyes. "W-What... H-How..." she was unable to get the right words out her mouth as she just sat there in confusion and shock.

"You see here, Jeon..." Youngjae utters with a smirk as he walked closer to the guy Jihyun hadn't seen in days. "...Joshua here is my cousin."

"No..."

Youngjae frowned. "What do you mean 'no', Jeon? Can't believe what I'm saying? But it's true... Hong Joshua is my cousin," he repeats, wrapping an arm around the latter who didn't seem the least bit happy with this. "He was one of the best helpers out there... Every whereabouts you and your friends have been I knew thanks to him."

"Jihyun..." Joshua calls out readily. "I didn't mean to---"

"I trusted you..." Jihyun muttered.

"Trust me, I wanted to stop thi---"

"Okay! That's enough," Youngjae cuts Joshua off. Then leaned in to whisper something before ordering one of the men around them to take him away.

"You see, Jeon... You cannot trust everyone in the world," Youngjae said truthfully, feigning sadness. "I trusted Chanyeol... But he did nothing to prove that he is trustworthy... So tell me, Jeon, do you think your friends are really trustworthy??"

Jihyun roamed her eyes around her still unconcious friends then stopped at a smirking Youngjae. "I trust them... With all my heart."

The latter scoffed and shook his head. "With all my heart," he says in a mimicking tone.

Jihyun's head snapped to her right when she heard the sound of muffled shouts and chains rattling. "Baekhyun..."

The latter was wide awake, eyes darted towards her.

"No, Baekhyun, please... You'll hurt yourself," Jihyun told him, tears finally escaping her eyes.

"You can't really trust your friends at everything, Jeon. Even in protection, they failed... They failed to protect you from harm."

"You only say that because you really have no idea whom to trust," spat Jihyun. "Your own parents are not even the least bit trustworthy."

Youngjae's dark expression darkened. His smirk faltered and was replaced by a thin line.

"Come again?" he uttered, voice more deadly than ever.

"Your parents are not trustworthy---" Jihyun was interrupted by a hard punch. The impact echoing around the room.

"Jihyun!!" Baekhyun cried out in muffles.

Jihyun felt like her skull cracked due to the impact, she needed seconds to recover from it.

"You don't dare to speak like that about my parents when you don't even know them," stated Youngjae, his fists clenched.

Jihyun smirked despite the pain. "As if you know them yourself?"

Youngjae raised an arm to hit her again and Jihyun shut her eyes tight, waiting for the impact.

The impact that never came.

"Don't you dare hurt her," growled a deep voice.

Jihyun's eyes shot open and her eyes widened at the sight of Chanyeol holding Youngjae back.

The latter smirked and dropped his hand, turning around to face Chanyeol.

"Long time no see, Chanyeol."
