*4 months earlier*
Living in the Big Easy wasn't easy. In other people's eyes, New Orleans was horrible. But to Sharen, it was everything she needed. She never had much family besides her cousin. But sometimes she wonder if she's even loyal.
Ever since her mother was murdered and father went into cardiac arrest, Sharen's life hasn't been the same.
"Knock, knock Ms. Woods. Someone is demanding to see you... would you like for me to send them in?"
I turned around to see my assistant Channy standing there with her clipboard. She was wearing a yellow shirt with black baggy pants. I don't know how many times I have to complain to her about her clothes. I wish she'll dress her age.
"Sure. Send them in. And also I need you to check my schedule for the day. Come back and let me know what it's looking like."
She flashed me a bright smile and walked away.
As I begin to unpack and get ready to start my day, there was another knock on my door. This time it was my cousin, Karen.
"Good morning! I brought doughnuts!" Karen said as she came and kissed me on my cheek.
"Thank God, I skipped breakfast this morning."
As I walked over to grab a doughnut, I noticed something different about my cousin.
"Karen, is something wrong?" I asked with a concerned look.
Sharen look down at her hands, and then said "I've done something that can change my life forever. Please forgive me."
