Chapter 24

      I hobbled inside the house, I knew I shouldn't be walking but I was to upset to even think about the pain.

The nerve of him. Just as soon as I started catching feelings.

I walked upstairs to gather my things for bed. Then that's when it hit me, my cousin and my brother was gone. Figuratively and literally. I'm alone.

I sat on my bed and cried. I cried for myself and I cried for my loved ones.

Pain is something I know all to well, but never in a million years did I think I would end up without any family.

I cried until the tears were not tears anymore.

I walked towards the bathroom and started my bath water. I started undressing and climbed in the tub to soak.

As soon as I got settled, I heard a noise from downstairs. Not thinking anything of it, I closed my eyes and relaxed.
But instead I should have went with my first instinct and stayed awake.

I should've known something wasn't right when I felt the hairs on the back of my neck stand up...
