Another concert had come and gone for the girls, and that night, they went straight back to the hotel and crashed. After the events of the last couple of days, neither of them had the mental capacity to spend time at parties. They had planned to sleep for a couple hours before catching a red eye flight. Nova wasn't sure where they were going, but Billie had a little trip planned for them. It made Nova nervous but seeing Billies excitement, made her more excited.
Once the girls were seated in first class and comfortable, Nova looked over at Billie. "So where are we going? When will you tell me!?" She nudged the blue haired girl, who in turn grinned deviously.
"You'll know when we get there Shorty. Shouldn't be too long now." She stuck out her tongue playfully.
Nova groaned, running her fingers through her hair. This girl drove her nuts but she was so thankful for her and her silliness. "Fine, but I'll get you back for making me wonder all this time." She said laughing.
Novas phone went off once she connected to the planes wifi. It was from Brett. She hadn't answered him in a couple days because he'd know the second he saw her that something wasn't right. And she just couldn't do it again. She was done telling the story for a bit. She declined the FaceTime call and sighed.
Billie looked down at Novas phone and watched her decline the call. "Why are you ignoring Brett? He's just worried about you." She stated, looking at Nova with her eyebrows raised.
Nova rolled her eyes. "I am just not ready to talk to him. He'll know immediately that things are off. I just want to enjoy our trip. I'll call him when we get back home."
Billie sighed. "Fine, but if you don't call him. I will." She stated.
Nodding, Nova closed her eyes and leaned her head back, wanting to just end the conversation and chill out. Her mind was racing enough as it is and all this added stress and drama was more than she wanted. Billie didn't get it, but she needed to back off a bit and let Nova figure out her own shit.
Taking the hint, Billie started going through her social media while they flew to their destination. She wasn't tired enough to sleep, so she just relaxed. The flight was only an hour and a half long and it seemed to go by pretty quickly. The closer they got to landing, the more excited she was to spend time with Nova. Billie was able to convince her parents to not come on this little vacation. Finneas helped her by saying he'd stop in to check on them. And now both girls were about to land in Hawaii, and spent the week alone in Billies families beach house.
The water always made Nova feel calm and at peace with everything. Billie remembered her mentioning that once when they stayed up all night just talking to one another.
As the plane landed, Nova woke up and Billie was grinning from ear to ear. "We're here." She got up from the seat and gathered their carry ons while Nova tried to figure out where they were.
It didn't take long, because as they were leaving the plane, the stewardess welcomed them to Hawaii. Novas blue eyes widened and looked at Billie. "Hawaii!!!" She practically squealed.
Billie laughed. "Yep. You. Me. Hawaii. A whole week alone." She swung her arm over Novas shoulders and the two walked through the airport. Once they got their bags and found an Uber, Billie called her mom to let her know they landed.
Nova sent a quick text to Brett so he'd leave her alone for a bit and she didn't have to stress about telling him anything.
To: Bretty Boo
Hey, I'm going on a mini vacay with Billie in Hawaii. Call you when I'm back. Love you.
She hit send and sat in silence for the rest of the ride while Billie talked with the Uber driver. She had a lot of thoughts in her head but she just wanted to enjoy all this free time with Billie. When the car pulled up to a moderately large, grey stone house, Nova smirked.
