- CHAPTER SEVEN -

JASMINE'S POV

BEEP BEEP BEEP

"Ugh, it's 10 already..." Jasmine sighed as she got up, she had work today so she got up early.

The Asian girl hopped out of bed and into her bath. She ran the bath, making the water warm, Jasmine proceeded to strip herself and dipped her foot into the warm water.

"Warm..." Jasmine mumbled as she slid herself into the bath, but then there was a knock at the door, Jasmine groaned, "Ugh seriously..." Jasmine groaned, she got out and put a pink robe on.

"Coming!" Jasmine shouted as she opened the door, it was Diego, "Hey Diego," Jasmine greeted.

 "Morning Jasmine, there's a family meeting today so uh yeah, I suppose you should get changed first," Diego explained, "Yeah I should, well, see you then."

Jasmine waved goodbye to Diego and shut the door, "Dammit now I gotta go to a family meeting..." Jasmine sighed.

The girl then walked into the bath and quickly bathed, she then changed into simple jeans and tucked in a t-shirt.

20 minutes after getting a taxi, Jasmine arrived at the house, she then saw Vanya and Allison talking to each other, "Hey girls," Jasmine shouted, the sisters turned and smiled, waving at Jasmine.

"Jas, you made it," Allison cheered as the three shared a hug, "I did, how have you been you two anyway?" Jasmine asked, "I've been good, I met this guy, his name's Leonard Peabody!" Vanya chuckled.

"Ooo, you met a guy? Is he nice?" Jasmine asked with a slight smirk, "Y-Yeah, he's doing violin lessons, he's really nice but dorky," Vanya explained, Jasmine lightly punched her shoulder.

"Nice to see my sister's interested in someone," Jasmine chuckled, "I-I'm not! I just think h-he's a good person," Vanya stuttered, with a slight blush on her face.

Both Allison and Jasmine chuckled, "Okay okay Vanya... how're you, Allison?" Jasmine asked, "Okay, I get to hang out with my two favourite siblings on the Earth, so that's cool," Allison chuckled.

Luther, Diego and Klaus then walked in, "So, you guys ready to see what I found," Luther asked, the three girls nodded and walked in the living room.

There inside, was a small television set, playing a security clip, there, was father, he looked helpless while mum was just staring at him.

"Do you think really that mum would hurt dad?" Vanya asked suspiciously, "We haven't been at home in a long time Vanya, we don't know Grace anymore," Luther explained to her.

"If he was poisoned, it would've shown up in the coroner's report," Diego said back.

"Yeah, well, I don't need a coroner's report to tell me what I can see with my own eyes," Luther retorted, Diego nodded, "Well, maybe all that low gravity in space messed with your vision then," Diego said as rewind the tape.

"Look closer, dad has his monocle, mum stands up. Monocle's gone," Diego announced, Klaus started laughing as he ate his chips, "Oh yeah!" Klaus said surprised.

"She wasn't poisoning him, she was... taking it, to clean it," Diego explained as he walked around, "Then where is it?" Luther asked, "No, I've searched the house, including her things. She doesn't have it," Luther said.

"Creep much..." Jasmine huffed, "Well, I don't think you should care that much Jas, you burned your room down remember?" Luther said, Jasmine rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.

Diego sighed, "Look, Luther, I took it..." Diego confessed, "After the funeral," Diego confessed, "You've had the monocle this whole time? What the hell, Diego!" Allison shouted in disbelief.

"Give it to me," Luther demanded, "I threw it away," Diego said, "You what?" Luther scoffed, "Look, I knew that if you found it on mum, you'd lose your shit, just like what you're doing right now!" Diego shouted as he pointed a knife at Luther.

"Diego, you son of a bitch!" Luther snapped as he walked furiously to Diego, "Hey, no, calm down!" Vanya shouted.

 "Look, I know dad wasn't exactly an open book, but I do remember one thing he said," Vanya interrupted, "Mum was, well, designed to be a caretaker. But... also a protector," Vanya explained.

"What does that mean?" Allison asked, "She was programmed to intervene if someone's life was in jeopardy," Vanya explained to her, "Well, if her hardware is degrading, then... we need to turn her off," Luther concluded.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah, wait," Diego shouted, "she's not just a vacuum cleaner you can throw in a closet. She feels things, I've seen it!" Diego yelled angrily.

"She just stood there, Diego, and watched our father die!" Luther exclaimed, "I'm with Luther..." Allison mumbled.

"Surprise, surprise!" "Shut up," Allison rolled her eyes, the two guys then looked at Vanya, "I-I don't-" "Yeah, she shouldn't get a vote," Diego snapped.

"W-Wha-" "I was going to say I agree with you!" Vanya yelled, "Okay, she should get a vote," Diego chuckled.

KLAUS' POV

"What about you, stoner boy? What do you got?" Diego asked as he pointed his knife to Klaus, "Oh, so, what? You need my help now?" Klaus asked, emphasizing the 'my.'

"Oh, 'get out of the van, Klaus!' 'Well, welcome back to the van,'" "What van?" Allison asked, Luther just scoffed, "So, what's it gonna be, Klaus?" He asked.

"I'm with Diego, because screw you!" Klaus shouted angrily, Diego pointed at Klaus and grinned, "And if Ben were here, he'd agree with me!" Klaus said.

"No, I don't..." Ben told Klaus, Klaus just hissed at Ben, Luther then had a disappointed face.

"How about you Jasmine, who you voting for?" Luther asked, "Hm, I'm with Diego on this sorry Luther..." Jasmine mumbled, Diego chuckled as he stared at Luther, "Even after he was a pissy shit to you!?" Luther shouted in surprise.

"Yes, even after he was a 'pissy shit', you've lost your mind honestly..." Jasmine sighed.

"So that's four?" Diego questioned, "Wait, three," "Vote's not final yet," Allison input, "What?" Diego asked.

"Five's not here, the whole family has to vote. We owe that to each other."
