Chapter 1: Glass Half Full

~Your P.O.V~

I accidentally dropped one of my heavy moving boxes on the ground, causing all of my shoes to spill out on the floor. "(Y/N)? What's happening up there??" Called mom. "N-Nothing! I just dropped something!" I yelled back. I hastily picked up everything and organized them along the closet floor. I let out a huff and jumped down the stairs and headed towards the dinner table. "How many times have I told you to not jump down the stairs, young lady," mom scolded me. "Sorry, I just finished unpacking everything, I wanted to hurry for dinner!" I laughed and dad followed after me. Mom shook her head and chuckled along with us, placing dinner plates on the table. "So champ, you ready for school tomorrow?" Dad lightly jabbed my arm. "I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty nervous," I looked down at my mashed potatoes and swirled them around. "(Y/N), everyone gets the first day jitters," mom placed a hand on my shoulder, "Just think of all the friends your gonna make!" She smiled but it didn't settle my nerves. 'I'm not just going to any school, this is the best school in the country, I'm sure nothing bad will happen but I'm still worried."  I looked up from my plate, "What was it like when you guys went to U.A.?" I asked curiously. "Well, It was an amazing school from what I remembered," Dad said placing his cup down, "Everything you could ever learn to be a great hero, is all in that school. Where there greatest of the top heroes are made to shine!" Mom giggled, "It's also where your father and I met. It all started when we bumped into each other and we touched hands picking up my books!" Dad smiled sweetly at her and grabbed her hand, "And it was love at first sight." They kissed, I couldn't help but smile at how happy they looked together. 'Who knows... Maybe I might find a love like that while I'm at school...'  We all ate dinner and chatted the rest of the night away. I walked up to my room, looking out at the night sky I sighed and plopped onto the bed, "It can't be so bad... get it together (Y/N). It's going to be okay." I rolled up in my blankets and went to bed.

[The Next Morning]

I woke up with the sun beaming brightly on my face, I stretched and started getting ready for school. I looked down and my uniform and gulped, "It won't be that bad huh?" After I get out of the shower and get dressed, I head downstairs and see mom putting breakfast on the table. "Good Morning love," she kisses my forehead, "I have to get going I'm going to be late for work, I love you, bye!" She rushes out the door and leaves me to finish my breakfast. I grabbed my bag and head for the door, checking the mirror several times to make sure I'm clean and decent, I step outside to greet the cool spring air. I start my walk towards the school, I don't live too far, so I could see it in the distance. The closer I get the more nervous I become all over again. My nerves settle a little when I see kids with the same uniform walking towards the school as well. I wanted to introduce myself to them, but they seemed like they were having fun, and I didn't want to disturb them. I peered up ahead of me, I reached the school gate, 'UA' was platted in gold letters above me. I took a deep breath and walked inside the school, it was huge, I felt like I was walking to a beautiful maze.

I looked around for class 1-A, my homeroom class as part of the hero course, I had constant thoughts brewing in my head. "What if my classmates don't like me? What's the homeroom teacher like? What if the course is too hard? Will they judge me because I miss the entrance exam?" I must have really zoned out because I bumped into someone and fell down. "O-Ouch..." I mumbled rubbing my head, "Great I've been here one day and I've already knocked into to something." I suddenly saw a hand reach down towards me as I looked up. "G-Geez... I'm so sorry, you alright?" A boy with red spiky hair looked worried and reached down to help me up. I nodded and took his hand pulling myself up, "Yeah I'm okay, I should be apologizing, I bumped into you!" I chuckled and smiled at him, extending my hand out once more, "My name is (Y/N) (L/N), nice to meet you!" He shook my hand and laughed nervously, "Kirishima Eijirou, nice to meet you too. What class are you off to ms. (L/N)." Kirishima's nervousness was replaced by a sudden boost of confidence, his smile was now big, bright, and full of sharp teeth. "I'm heading to class 1-A," I said smiling back. "Well then," he placed an arm around my shoulder, "So am I, I'll walk yah there!" I couldn't help but feel calmer with his presence, he was very bold and charming. His humor and demeanor were definitely easy to warm up to, so much so, that I totally forgot it was my first day and we were heading to class. I then remembered what mom said last night, 'It all started when we bumped into each other...' I gulped and looked up to see Krisihima's face, his smile was still bright, even when he talked about nothing in particular. 'Could it be...'
