Chapter 3: Blasted Luck, Bakugou!

~Your P.O.V~

[A couple of months before]

I looked at the sketch paper before me, laying on a coffee table in front of me, I huffed loudly. "What's the matter, sweetie?" My mom waltzed in from the kitchen and placed a cup down next to the paper. "Oh, I see, designing your hero costume? How exciting!" She smiled, "This was my favorite part about going to U.A.! This is one of the most important stages to becoming a hero!" I wasn't trying to ignore her but for some reason, my mother being cheerful and lively wasn't fixing my mood. "Is everything okay...?" She knelt down beside me and placed her arm around me. "I... I'm sorry mom... It's just been really hard to focus and be excited after what happened... I mean, I'm happy I got it, I really am, but-" Mom kissed my forehead, hushing me. "(Y/N), I know you're worried about something happening again. But don't worry, the police assured us that we are safe and the villain has been captured. You shouldn't let something like that affect your exciting school year! You'll drive all the cute boys away thinking like that," She giggled and I joined her. "No daughter of mine will have a 'Boyfriend' she will stay my little girl forever!" Dad jokingly yelled, "Now, let's get to work on your hero costume and remember if you need to change anything we can always send in alterations."

[Present Day]

"So, (Y/N), you excited to see your hero costume?" Mina asked me. "Well yes and no, seeing as how my mom and dad helped me, I'm more than concerned," I sighed. "Don't sweat it, I'm sure it'll look great on you! I'm just hoping mine is okay, I may have changed the design a little bit," Ochako smiled and rubbed the back of her head. We walked into class, waiting on Mr. Aizawa to introduce us to our lesson. I looked to the front of the room at Bakugou, He had his head in his hands and was staring blankly at the wall. He seemed more restless than usual, I could tell by how sunken his eyes looked. I must have been staring too long because he turned his gaze towards me and growled, "What the hell are you looking at, Puddles?" I quickly looked away and turned my attention back to Ochako and Ashido. "Did he just call me puddles?" I thought to myself. As the minuets dragged on and no Aizawa in site, the class was getting a bit restless. "Pst, you think he slept too long and missed class?" Kirishima whispered to me. I shook my head, I doubted that even Mr. Aizawa would miss a day of class. He must have gotten caught in a meeting or something and must be running late. Just as rumors were getting out of hand amongst us, Suddenly, the classroom door bursts open. With a gust of wind trailing strongly behind him, All Might, is all his heroic glory was standing proudly in front of us. Although I heard he was a teacher here now, it was still shocking to see the number one hero right in front of me. I saw him all the time on TV when I was younger. Saving people with a smile, taking down villains, and doing what it takes to be a true hero. It so inspiring to me, needless to say, I was extremely star-struck! "I. Am. Here!" His deep voice boomed over the classes cheers. "All Might?! What are you doing here?!" Midoriya was the first to ask what was happening. It seemed as if he was taking the place of Mr. Aizawa for the day. Appearing to be the case, he excitedly announced we'd be training. Without giving too much away, he instructed us to grab our hero costumes and head to the bus outside the school. I was nervous to what awaited us, "Not only that. This is the first time trying on my hero costume... Plus the weighted pressure of a surprise training exersise... Gosh, I feel like I'm gonna explode with anxiety!"

After grabbing our briefcases that contained our costumes, we headed to the bus waiting for us at the gates of the school. My classmates chatted and began to guess what All Might had in store for us today. "I think we might be facing more of those ugly robots," Ashido laughed. "Robots?" I asked genuinely confused. "Oh right, you didn't take the entrance exam, (Y/N)," Chimed in Tsuyu. "Basically," Kirishima began, "All of us had to face robots varying in size and shape. They were points we had to earn by bustin' em up!"
"Yeah," added Kaminari, "If you scored low enough, yah fail, and you can't get into U.A. Come to think of it, Midoriya almost didn't make it, right?" Everyone's attention suddenly changed to Izuku, who was frazzled by the conversation being about him now. Higakure wacked Kaminari in the head for his comment and told him he was a little insensitive. "S-Sorry Midoriya," Kaminari apologized. He just waved his hands frantically saying it was no big deal. I wanted to avoid asking but I couldn't stop the words from escaping my lips. "If you don't mind me asking, how did you pass?" I looked directly at Midoriya as he froze due to my question. "He got lucky, ain't nothin' to it... Don't make you better than me, Deku.. Now quit bein' so damn noisy back there!!" Bakugou interjected before Midoriya answered. His sudden comment hushed the entire class except for Iida who seemed slightly offended by Bakugou's outburst. "You shouldn't say such rude things to your fellow classmates!" Iida, seemed like the type to keep everyone in line. His quirk, engine, was powerful. Iida was able to run very fast and he looked to be quite strong too. Dispite his intimidating demeanor, he was a friendly person and seemed to care about his classmates. "Although Midoriya didn't show off much of his ability in the beginning, or gain many hero points, he risked himself to save a fellow classmate! Truly, that's what any great hero would do!" Iida's sparkly compliment flustered Izuku but thanked him. I giggled a little, "This really is an amazing class!"
