V Leo

Leo didn't like not being funny.

Ever since he went to Ogygia, he wasn't sure what jokes are anymore. He would literally create a hilarious comment, and then decide that it wasn't the right time to use it.

If this was falling in love, Leo decided he shouldn't like it.

But he did. Oh, he so did.

He goes pacing the deck thinking about nothing other than how to rescue Calypso, or being mad at Percy for leaving Calypso, or being mad at the gods for cursing Calypso. It kind of made Leo think about how Annabeth was acting when Percy went missing.

But don't think he feels sympathetic towards Annabeth now. He's still afraid of her.

Better cut her some slack though. Going through hell and back? Leo would commit suicide.

"Back to the mess hall. More things to discuss." Leo heard Annabeth's voice ring around the ship.

Leo walked to the helm calmly to set Festus on autopilot. Calmly.

For once, he didn't like how complicated he made the ship. It used to help him because of his ADHD, but now he just liked things simpler so he could concentrate.

Wow, Leo couldn't believe how much he was like Annabeth.

He followed the others down to the mess hall.

"Is that a whip made out of Celestial bronze?" Ariel asked. Leo followed her gaze and saw a thick strand of bronze.

"Uh, no. I was bored so I kneaded a bunch of melted bronze. I guess you could use it as a whip, but that isn't exactly a weapon we use." He told Ariel.

"M'kay." She looked happier. Just a bit.

They made it to the mess hall.

"We closed the Doors of Death, which means that monsters won't be able to regenerate as fast." Annabeth said.

"And instead, we've got giants and the world to face. Kind of balances out." Piper finished.

"We are sailing in the direction of Athens. If we need to make a stop anywhere, it has to be on the way there. No time otherwise." Leo stated, feeling like a presenter. '

His friends probably talk behind his back, all "What's up with him?" Leo couldn't blame them. If he was them, he would miss his hotness too.

"That's a great plan." Annabeth said.

Leo looked up. "You think so?"

"No." She replied. "But I guess it's the best plan we've got. We don't need anymore advice, or anything."

Not true. They might have two mega-powerful demigods and a daughter of Athena, but that didn't mean that they have any idea how to put the earth fall asleep.

"I guess we just go to Athens and do whatever seems right to kill Gaea." Percy said, straightforward.

"You can't just kill Gaea. If you kill her, you kill the world. Do you really want that?" Ariel had an incredulous look on her face.

"Would you rather have a war that goes on forever instead of no world?"

"Uh, yeah. But it doesn't have to go forever. You can just make her go back to sleep. Somehow."

"That's what I meant! I just said one word wrong!"

"Too bad."

"What goes on in the book? Do we succeed?" Hazel interrupted, before either of them could go on killing each other.

"Yeah. You make Gaea fall asleep by waking her up first. With blood. Of Jason and Percy. Either that, or get two poor innocent demigods that you don't know to die for you." Ariel answered.

Leo would probably agree to that, but he knew his friends won't.

"Didn't she need the blood of a female and a male demigod?" Leo asked.

"I have no idea. Maybe they thought that she wouldn't rise to full power if there is no female but still wake. But I'm just guessing."

"But then, what if we split a female and a male's blood on the stones to wake her up, but not all the blood. Maybe then she wouldn't rise to full power and still wake without anyone dying." Annabeth frowned. "And then, I don't know, you could charmspeak her to go into sleep forever." She said to Piper.

Piper shook her head. "Not going to work."

This is the part when Leo makes some ridiculous joke to cheer everyone up.

Of course, he didn't.

"We'll figure it out." Jason put his hand on Piper's.

A/N: I was listening to Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys while writing this. Oh, lol.

Guys, don't think I'm making Leo some selfish b*stard. He's just so lovesick he would do anything to save Calypso.
