WHAM!

"I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there...."

I nodded before trying to leave for my English class

" I'm Jeff by the way..."

"Yeah, it's okay. Don't worry about it."

"And you are?"

"That's none of your business"

"Touche!"

I simply rolled my eyes before trying to walk away from him... again. But I guess he caught up with me.

"It is y'know"

I turned around and looked at him with a blank face.

"You are in my Geography, Math, Chemistry and English class". He smiled showing off his four long fingers.

"Well, I'm sorry that I never noticed your presence. My sincere apologies. Now if I may."

I excused myself and jogged towards my English class as I was running a little late. Courtesy Mr. Jeff Whatever.

"You would have though if you had ever drifted your eyes off the window or your notebook."

I stopped in my tracks and glared at him in shock and disbelief.

"Heyy, don't look at me like that, just because you don't notice the people around you, doesn't mean I don't..."

"So you notice everybody like that?!?!"

"Nope! Only the one girl who sits by the window in the last row every single day..." And I was left standing alone in the hallway confused as hell!

The sound of the bell brought me out of my reverie.

"Crap!" I muttered under my breath before practically sprinting towards my class.

Quickly, I entered into my class, before exhaling a sigh of relief after realizing that my seat was still vacant. I ran to take my seat before anyone else could warm it up with their ass.

"A simple 'Thank You' would have been appreciated."

I turned my head towards the direction from which the voice was coming which was kinda easy as very few people actually talked to me which basically included my childhood best friend, Clay Jensen and another new student Alex Standall. That's it! So eventually, I wouldn't expect anyone else to actually speak to me. But looks like this time Mr. Jeff Jerkface wanted to engage himself in a conversation with me.

"Thank You", I said to him without thinking twice, trying to end this so-called one-sided conversation as soon as possible.

"Do you even know what you expressed your gratitude about?"

God! Can't this guy take a hint?!

So I simply rolled my eyes.

"Good Morning class"... For the first time I was glad at the teacher's entrance.

"So before we start with anything new, I want to hand over all of you your projects which, as you know like every year will account for half your grade. So please pay attention to whatever I'm saying if you don't plan to repeat this year..."

She smiled for god knows what reason.

"Okay class, so this time we'll be having a group project and you'll all be paired alphabetically. Although I know that it does sound a bit kiddish, but deal with it!"

The entire class erupted with various kinds of emotions. Some were happy, some were sad and the others didn't care whatever the hell was going on in the world around them. They were too busy day-dreaming about a perfect life which was their own personal utopia.

I, however, fell into the second category. It's not that I'm anti-social or anything. I just prefer to keep my distance from others. Actually, I guess it's the other way round. Well, what can I say, being the neglected daughter of a celebrity, has its drawbacks.

"Jeff Atkins and Jessica Padalecki."

Crap! Shit just got real!

"No!" I whined in reluctance. C'mon seriously, not that jerkface. Ugh!

I saw him approaching me with a goofy plastered on his face.

What the hell is he so happy about? I thought.

"So...Jessica! A pretty name for a pretty girl!"

I rolled my eyes...again.

"If you are done with all your flirty comments could you please tell me why do you 'notice' me of all people in the class?" I air- quoted the word notice.

Even though I didn't want to talk to him, but that incident in the hallway kinda bugged me.

"Well...because you're the only person in the entire school who's so lonely and doesn't have anyone to talk to and also the one that gets bullied by the jocks, if I may add. Don't tell me that you talk to Clay and Alex because you barely smile and greet them and that is not a conversation."

Well, to be honest, he was right. I really don't talk to them...they do.

"So what? How does it in any way bother you?"

"It does 'cause......", he paused to think, I guess.

" 'cause?"

"just 'cause."

"And that's supposed to answer my query?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Yes! It is!" He yelled a bit.

"So what, you're having pity on me after all these years?!" I began losing my temper.

"I'm done having pity on you. I've been having that for years now! And now I just finally confronted you about it!" he finally yelled at me.

"I don't need your pity alright?! So back off and mind your own business! You have no friggin' idea about what the hell is going on in my life! So stop pretending that you know everything when you don't know squat about me or my life!", I yelled in frustration before taking my stuff and storming out of the classroom as soon as the bell rang...again.
