Chapter 9: Revenge of the Crimson Killer

"Call rein- argh!!" A guard yelled, before a clawed hand ripped through them.

"How's he still so- fuck! RETREAT!" The captain of the guard shouted.

"Power! Crimson Command!" The killer yelled

"What the f-!" The captain of the guard yelled before slitting his own throat.

The screams echoed through the valley, from civilians and soldier alike, as the killer once known as Crimson ripped through them. There were several messengers asking for Draconian support. Our troops weren't ready for the slaughter that came. Our towns and homes ransacked, my people slaughtered, all as a similar maniacal laugh ripped through the castle halls. I barricaded the girls away, save for Luna, as I prepared for a blood sacrifice.

"Oh powerful Beelzebub and Allfather of humanity, I ask for one thing alone. Imbue my life unto this angel and let her live. My soul is under your guidance as I pray for my friend and lover back."

After finishing my speech, I cut my hand and let a drop of blood land on Luna. I placed her unmoving corpse in a room with holy water sprinkled about and closed the door, sending out another silent prayer. The maniacal laughter was coming closer and I finally understood who had killed Luna. Crimson's soul had lived on, and so had he.

I removed the barricade for a moment and stepped out of the room, locking the door behind me. Crimson's laugh echoed from the ballroom. I hopped the railing, quietly unfurling my wings and unsheathing my claws, ready to pounce and kill him.

"Ah, ah, ahh. That's not a acceptable way to fight a god!" Crimson yelled, throwing a chair at me.

"How the fuck are you alive?!" I yelled, slicing through the chair.

"It's simple really. All you have to do," he cackled, rushing me with a knife, "Is sell your soul!"

"Fool!" I said, kicking the knife away. "Selling your soul. Will. Only. Save. You. Once!"

With each word, I sliced his flesh to the bone, his cackling growing louder with each swipe. I panted heavily, as Crimson laughed.

"My turn." He said, driving a second knife deep into my ribs, blooding pouring from the stab. He drove the knife into me again and again, cackling.

I just laughed as my eyes rolled over to a dark red color. My wings unfurled and I spoke commandingly. "Razor Wing of Blood Chain Bane!"

As I said this, the edge of my wing glowed bright white and my blood began snaking up the knife's edge, wrapping around Crimson's arm and hardening into chain. The color drained from Crimson's face as he tried to move his arm in vain. The blood that poured to the floor slid up his legs, jabbing his knees and knocking him down, before hardening into a similar chain to the one on his arm.

"It appears that I've made a mistake. I will leave your kingdom never to return or bother you again." He begged, trying to appeal to my good judgment.

"No. You killed my Luna. You killed one of the best people in my life." I said, dryly but wanting to tear up.

He gulped as another chain wrapped around his waist. I drew a wing across his wrist, slicing deep, and watching the blood pour out. He screamed in pain as I sliced is hand off entirely. I started humming as I slowly sliced him to pieces, cauterizing each wound as I went. First his arms were gone, neat little piles all that remained. I moved to his legs, slicing fast and shallow, making it take multiple slices to cut through a small portion of leg. His screams became sobs, as he cried in pain. Once his legs were gone, I spun quickly, disemboweling him and decapitating him in one swift motion. I torched the pile to ash and washed off my wings. I continued humming as I tidied up the floor and wiped away ash and blood.

"Axel! Come quick!" Katey's shout echoed through the castle, as the remaining civilians forced back the attacking forces.

I flapped my wings hard, creating a small sonic boom as I flew back to the room. Luna was up walking about.

"Luna! Luna, you're back!" I said, crying and laughing.

"Who's Luna? Who are you? Where's Michael?" She said, a blank expression on her face.

"What? No, Luna! It's me, Axel! Don't you remember me?" I said, beginning to tear up in sadness.

I heard a snicker behind me, and Val was laughing. Before I could say anything Luna wrapped her arms around me.

"How could I ever forget you?" She giggled.

"You... You had me so worried. I thought I lost you." I said, breaking down.

Luna spun me around and kissed me, smiling.

"You'll never lose me, or any of us, if you keep fighting for us."

I sniffed, and smiled. The other girls' hugged me and I smiled more.

"All of you were in on this, weren't you?" I asked, giggling.

They all giggled and nodded.

"All of you are, well, amazing." I said, smiling and blushing.

They stopped hugging me and motioned to the bed. I shook my head slightly.

"I have to do some other things. Just because I'm a demigod, king, and horndog doesn't mean I don't have schoolwork."

They all nodded, smiling understandingly.

"On the bright side, I can get to see some old friends." I said, laughing lowly with malicious intent.
