Chapter 24: Epilogue

Mia's pov
It's been a month after the battle and just in case you are wondering I did manage to save Dylan. As a result let's just say we spend a few days missing at a lake house. And something great has happened which is why I am on my way to a meeting jumping like a little girl with a new toy. In this meeting everyone was called, everyone except Dylan. As I enter the room I smiled seeing everyone already there.
"Thanks for coming. I need your help with something extremely important to me."
You could see everyone was curios and listening. So I continue
"As you can see Dylan is not here that's because I asked Sam to keep him busy."
Now everyone looked confused I chuckled before saying
"I want to surprise him with the news am going to give him and I already have an idea but I need everyone's help. After all we both really want to be parents."
I looked down and placed my hands on my stomach as I said
"And now we are."
The room was suddenly filled with excitement and happy chatter and all of a sudden I was being directed to my chair and told to sit. I chuckled but but sat without protest.  And said
"I need Patricia, Aro, Lea and Reggy to stay here, while the rest of you I need you to go and distract Dylan until I say so and keep him away from the house he will be going there for me first and I can't have him there yet. O crap Sam can't hold him anymore."
Quickly everyone left to do as I asked except those I asked to stay behind I smiled great full before turning to the ones here and telling them the plan and where I needed them to be.
Dylan's pov
Today is just starting rub the wrong way. You want to know how someone so early in the morning can be in such a bad mood well I'll tell you. It started with the fact that last night my mate the one I've been wanting to propose to didn't want to sleep in the bed with me. She literally push me off of her and went to her room a room she hasn't use in a month. And in that moment that I hugged her before she pushed me a smelled another scent on her, but she shut the door in my face before I could say anything. And this morning she was gone before I woke up and when I found her my sister pulled me and by the time I turned Mia was gone. Now I have finally escaped my sister and was going home, but suddenly Peter was in front of me and said
"We need you at the pack house."
I frown and said
"Can't it wait am busy."
He looked serious as he said
"Come on Dylan. Their is a whole line of people waiting in your office and your unfinished paperwork."
I groan but follow him this is beyond impossible how can in centuries today everyone has to talk to me.
***Skip time***
I growl as it was finally over I have been here over an hour I can't believe it. Thankfully as I walked to my house now everyone seems to be keeping their distance everything seemed normal now which is a good thing because am so not in the mood. When I got home I went right in but instead of seeing my mate I saw Patricia sitting in the living room with her babies.
"Patricia, what are you doing here, where's Mia?"
She smiled and came to me with a box and said
"She left in a hurry towards Angel and Angel's shop and left this here. Don't open it ok."
And with that I was being pushed out of my own house. I sighed and headed for the shop. But when I got there I could tell Mia wasn't there her scent and that other smell where getting cold but I still walked inside. To be received by Angel and Angelo coming with another box.
"Hey D looking for Luna. She just left to see Aro better hurry. And this is for her ok."
And I was pushed away again. Is it me or my pack is acting weirder than usual. I shook my head and left to Aro's place, and the scent of Mia was very recent but not strong to be here but then again that other smell was becoming stronger. I walked to the door and knocked and Aro opened and placed another box on my hands and said
"Luna is by the lake hurry don't make her wait."
And the door was closed in my face. I blinked but wanting to see Mia I turned and walked to the lake without a second thought. When I got there Mia was standing by the lake looking at the at it deep in thought. As I was walking closer the wind blew and carry her smell to me I scrunched my nose at the mixing scent I was getting. So I stopped and said
"Mia?!"
She turned around with a smile and pointed at another white box in a blanket beside me. I looked at her and she said
"Open them in the order you got them."
I looked at her confused and said
"Mia we hav..."
But she said
"Indulge me."
I sighed and kneeled down and grabbed the first box that I got, when I opened it in the inside of the box in the lid it said 'You'
And inside I found an old music box and it was adorned by hand made drawings of a family. I looked up confused she only said
"My mom gave it to my father long time ago. Next box."
I looked at the next box and like the one before in the lid it had a word this said 'are'
And inside their was a cupcake literally a cake with the form of a cupcake. Frosted pink and blue. I went to the next box still very confused to find another word 'a'
And inside their was a baby blanket hand knitted. It was white with golden designs. I looked back at the other things and quickly looked at Mia wanting to see if my suspicions were true. But her face was calm and she pointed to the last box. I quickly opened it and the lid said 'Father'
My eyes went wide and I pulled a pregnancy test that read positive. I dropped what I had in my hand and went to her moving slowly still shocked and looking at her stomach said
"Father? That smell is that your pregnant. We are going to be parents?"
I looked at her for an answer she only smiled and nodded. I grin and grabbed her around the waist lifting her of the ground and spinning around. Before putting her down but keeping her close. I cupped her face gently and kissed her and pulled away so I lower myself and kissed her stomach and said
"She is going to be as beautiful as her mother."
I stood up straight when Mia laughed and said
"She? So it's going to be a girl."
I smiled and said
"Of course and she's going to be gorgeous."
I pulled away and pulled a small satin box out of my pocket and kneel. Smiling at the gasp that escape her lips and how her eyes water.
"I've been carrying this for a week looking for the perfect moment to ask you. And I can't think of a better moment or a better place."
I opened the box to reveal a white gold with diamond in the middle and a vine of leaves around the band. And in the inside said 'Forever yours'.
"My love, my life, my Queen, after all that has happened I couldn't wait another day to ask you if you could make me the happiest man alive and become my wife. And like the ring says I will be forever yours."
By now she was crying as she nodded and said
"Yes...yes, I will marry you."
I smiled and stood up and placed the ring in her finger before I lean forward and capture her lips again. We slowly pulled away and I rested my forehead on hers and we stayed there in each other's embrace basking in the moment of happiness. A perfect begging for our life together.
