I get up after a while, but smiled. "I need to get to class..."
"Right." He nods a little and kisses my hand.
I roll my eyes. "You're so corny."
"I know." He chuckles, letting go of it. "Try and have fun, okay?"
I nod and get the book I needed, putting a pen in the pocket of my hoodie. "I'll try."
"Good." He smiles, and goes back to writing as I left.
Things didn't get better. They didn't even stay the same. Ever since I was seen with Aaron, that's all people would talk about. It was unbelievable that that was all that people could talk about! Normally rumours only went on for a week, but this had been going on for months. Unbelievable is the only word that fits what was going on. It was as if they just needed to get me to commit suicide. As if it was their mission, and if they didn't succeed, they would die.
During classes I was poked and made fun of, being yelled abuse and death threats when the teacher left to do something and kicked off my chair whenever they looked away. Half way through I gave up and got up and walked straight of the class, walking back to the dorm. I couldn't help but smile a little when I noticed Aaron wasn't here. I looked through our desks for a rope, and eventually found one by the window. I didn't question why it was there and grabbed hold of my laptop.
I made a private tab on the internet and looked up how to make a noose. I found one eventually and set to making it. I set it up in the bathroom, since there was a random hook there on the ceiling. My eyes widen when I heard the entrance door opening. I didn't hear anything but footsteps and a book being dropped. I immediately panicked, thinking of the death threats. I jumped off the toilet since I was standing on it and slammed the door shut, noticing the lock was gone. I tried to ignore the sounds and continued to make the noose.
"Aph?" Aaron's voice said, opening the door. His eyes widened when he saw me. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"
I squeak, looking at him. "U-uh..." He fainted, and I saw that his chest wasn't moving at all. I jumped down and ran over, crouching down beside him. I pulled up his sleeves to check for a pulse, but I noticed deep cut marks. There was only two, but that didn't matter. He still self-harmed. I tried to ignore them for now and cheek for a pulse, and it was working. I looked back at his chest and it wasn't moving still. I didn't get it, he wasn't breathing but still had a pulse. I get up and search for my phone.
"Aph?" Suddenly he said, and I turned to face him at an instant. He was sat up, but his breath was hitched and his eyes were closed.
"You're awake!" I run over and hug him tight, sitting on his lap.
"What happened?" He slowly hugged back, sighing.
"You just passed out! Heh..." I let go and smile.
"Oh..." His eyes were open, and he looks around the room. I rush into the bathroom and quickly take down the noose, in case he saw. "Is that a hanging rope?!" He asked quickly.
I force laughter. "No! ...It’s almost Christmas and I was going to hang tinsel around the room, I was using rope to see where I wanted it!"
   "I don't believe you..."
I roll my eyes. "It’s the truth."
He nods solemnly. "Okay..." He sits on the bed, sighing.
"If I asked you something, would you answer honestly?"
"Of course I would." He looks up at me. I sit beside him and put my hand at the brim of his hoodie sleeve. He quickly forced his arm away.
"I saw them." I say softly, smiling a little just to make him not panic.
"When?" His eyes fill with tears.
"When you fainted." I sigh and wipe his tears away. "Why?"
"I don't want to talk about it." He gets up and pulls his hood up, walking towards the door.
"That's fine. I'm just a little concerned..!" He glanced at me, sighing. "Why are you going?"
"Food. Do you want something?" He says, grabbing his wallet.
   "Not really..."
"I'm getting you something anyway. You need to eat."
"Fine, but only if you tell me why you self-harmed!" He hesitated, but nods as he left the room.
He walked back with McDonalds after a two hours and a half, setting it down on my lap. "There you go."
I smile. "Thanks! But isn't the closest McDonalds like an hour drive?"
"Yeah, well, anything to make you happy!" He smiles, eating his own.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I giggle, eating mine slowly. When I finish I get up and put the packaging in the trash can, along with his. "Will you tell me why now?"
   "Aph..." He sighs.
"You said you'd tell me if I ate, and I did." I sit back down, pouting.
"Fine... I-I was just worried in case you were going to snap and commit suicide... I don't know what came over me, I just, cut. I don't know, why I just did!"
"Thanks for telling me." I climb onto his lap again, hugging him tight. "You don't have to worry about me..."
"Well I can't help it..!" He hugs back, sighing.
I roll my eyes and kiss his cheek. "Truly. You don't have to."
"I'm your boyfriend. I want to. That's why I'm dating you."
   "Only that?" I giggle.
"No, but it's in the contract." I laugh, pulling him closer. He chuckles, laying back and wrestling me on the bed play fully.
