Even when she was younger, Hinata had been able to handle people being angry with her. Her father's ruthless training, Neji's hatred, sure it was scary but she never cracked from the pressure of it.

But this... This was fucking mortifying.

Never in her short life has she seen Hatake Kakashi so furious, and never would she imagine that it'd be directed at herself.

"What the fuck, Hinata?! I told you one thing! One fucking thing! And you do the damn opposite." His single eye was crazed as he punched the wall behind her, causing her to flinch harshly, his fist inches from her ear.

Pissed was one hell of an understatement, Hinata knew he would be angry, but not to this extent.

She knew ANBU would contact her within twenty four hours of her application if she made the cut, and here she was at the twenty third hour, being yelled at by one of the most dangerous ninja in the world.

If there was any moment in her life where she just thought motherfucker this man is going to kill me, it was now— save for when she fought Neji and Pein, but that's besides the point— holy fuck this man was beyond angry.

Finally, after minutes— or maybe hours, who the fuck knows— of staring at each other, Kakashi scoffed and walked away, "Whatever, get yourself killed for all I care."

Shit, why did it hurt so much when he said that? When he walked away without looking back?

Whatever, it didn't matter, she knew in her heart that the ANBU captain denied her entry, but the slimmer of hope in her heart said otherwise. She looked at the clock on her nightstand, three minutes until it had been twenty four hours.

She sighed in defeat, there was nothing she could do, she was so damn pathetic.

A shiver went up her spine and her muscles drew up painfully as her eyes widened.

Someone was in her apartment.

Quietly, she activated her dojutsu and counted one in her kitchen and two outside her building, she hoped none of them realized that she knew of them, flicked off the lights and went to lie down on her bed, pretending to sleep.

It was a harsh reminiscent to her third birthday, when the window opened damn near silently and the chilly night air filtered into the room. So footsteps could be heard— they were well trained— Hinata kept her eyes activated but her eyes closed, and once they stood around her bed, she struck.

"Kaiten!"

The blue sphere of chakra lit up the near pitch black room, her brows furrowed as she stood defensively on her bed, she couldn't tell who they were, even with her enhanced sight she couldn't see their faces.

All she knew was they were high in rank with massive chakra reserves.

Eyes darting back and forth, she waited for them to move, and when they did it was so fast she barely had time to react.

She spun around and ducked the leg that was swung up to strike her in the head, shooting her leg out behind her and making contact with the man that tried to sneak up on her.

Dodging a fist and jumping onto her hardwood floor, Hinata cursed, there was no way she could take all of them on her own. And she knew for a fact they were only toying with her.

"Juho Shosiken!" This was her last resort to stop them before they did whatever they were here to do, a punch to the man to the left, it barely made contact but it drained his chakra drastically and Hinata felt exhilarated as he stumbled.
