Marc waved to me many times in the hallway, but I pretended I didn't see. He's only doing this to get on my good side, then he'll go back to ignoring me. It's not that I'm mean, I just want to protect my heart from being shattered into a million pieces. I know how these high school flings work.

My dad passed a year ago. Since then I've been on the negative side, I miss him so much. I'm only 17 so I knew my dad, it wast like I was 2. Kaitlyn tells me I'm closed up and won't share with anyone. I think I'm doing fine with opening up to people. Why should they know everything about me anyways, like anyone really cares.

Olivia and her "posey" basically hate me. Olivia and I were actually pretty good friends in middle school, but in 8th grade she changed. Starting hanging out with the school sluts, and started to "sleep around." All the boys like her because they know no matter what they're gonna get some. Im not like, I wanna wait for that special person, not every guy on the first date.

I get to my 3rd period class when I see someone new sitting in the seat next to mine. I've never seen him before, maybe he's new. He had dirty blond hair and wore a SnapBack. The SnapBack read New York Yankees on it. He had on a red hoodie with a design on the front. He was also wearing jeans hung low and hightop white Adidas shoes. He had full eyebrows and no signs of zits or pimples. He had dark brown eyes with long eyelashes and full lips. He actually looked pretty cute.

I came into the room because people were screaming at me to move. I came closer and say down next to him.

"Hey, ugh you don't mind if I sit here right. I mean this was my assigned seat, but If you don't want me here I can move," I say eagerly. This boy looked like trouble and I really don't need that.

"No it's fine you can sit here, I don't bite," he said smiling at me. He watched me sit down and smiled down at his book after.

"Thanks," I say half happy half angry. I didn't need this guy getting me into more trouble than I already have to handle.

"I'm Dylan, Dylan Dauzat," he said holding out his hand.

"Chloe Thompson," I say and shake his hand.

He smiles at me and for a second I think he doesn't seem all that bad until I realized him checking Olivia out. She was wearing a crop top and high wasted shorts.

"I hate girls that expose themselves too much," he said then looked back at his book. I was actually shocked I could've sworn he was checking her out! Maybe he was just so disgusted by her, I know I am.

"Me too, that's Olivia the school slut and look here she comes now," I say watching her walk towards us.

"We'll nobody can resist me," Dylan says with a smirk. Olivia reaches the desk and stands right in front of Dylan so that his face is near her chest.

"Hey are you new, your cute," she says with a smirk and bites her lip.

"Yeah I'm new, but I'm not interested sorry, your not my type," Dylan says with a smile.

"And you have a boyfriend," I say with a disgusted look. How could she do that to Marc!

Olivia walked away with a horrified look and Dylan turned to me and smiled.

"So what exactly is your type," I ask laughing.

"The type of girl who's shy, but smart, Laughs a lot, who has a sense of humor. I also like the girls who don't expose themselves. Like sweatshirt and jeans and sneakers. I like an athletic girl, a brilliant one," he says and I smile.

"We'll I'm sure you'll find her someday," I say then I turn around. Of course he's the charm Kaitlyn was talking about this morning.

"Would you want to maybe hang out this Friday night," Dylan asks. I pause, he just asked me out.

"I'm sorry I can't," I say. The bell rings and I get out of there as fast as possible. I can't go thru another heartbreak, I can't handle it.

I hear kaitlyn go up to Dylan and say, "Give her times she's been through a lot lately."

I rush down the hallway to 4th period and the day goes normal from there.
