Episode 1

(Continuation of episode 17 of season 4)

After seeing Ronin and Connor together in the ward Ava couldn't control her tears and ran towards the doctors' lounge which was empty at that moment. As she entered the lounge and she quickly closed the door and started to cry. She tried enough to control her emotions but she couldn't do it now, it was enough for her.
Flashbacks of the beautiful time spent with connor reappeared in front of her eyes
There was nothing she could do at the moment other then ket the tears flow.
After sometime she stood up and moved towards her locker, looked down at her watch and only 30 minutes were left u til her shift was over. She changed into her regular clothes and picked her bag and moved towards the ed. Maggie was there and Ava requested her that she wasn't feeling really well so she wanted to leave a bit early. Maggie allowed her because the day shift team was almost there. Ava walked out of the ed towards the parking. It seemed like a storm was coming and she could hear, see the lightning. She walked towards 5e place where she had parked the car but it wasn't there,! Ava became a little tense and started to look around for her car but it wasnt there. She rushed towards the ed and told Maggie that she couldn't find her car, Maggie went out along her to see for the car but as she couldn't find it she called the guard and informed him about this and advised Ava to stay at the hospital for some time until they find some way
Ava was in the ed and her eyes welled up with tears . Maggie could see tears roll down her cheeks. She went towards her to console her
Maggie: ava u don't need to worry, we will find the car ok?
Ava : u know what my dad bought it for me when I started residency in cape town
Now she was crying out loud and Maggie tried to console her by placing her hand on Ava's shoulder and before she could say anything Connor and Robin arrived

Connor: is everything ok?
Maggie; her car got stolen
Robin: oh come on Ava , it wasnt some Audi or any luxurious car it was just some average cheap old car, its nothing to cry on, stop acting like a child

Ava didn't respond
Rhodes; if u don't mind I will drop u
But Ava denied the offer saying that she will manage and then she booked a cab however Connor was concerned about her
They both left the ed hands in hands, after some time Ava's cab arrived and she left for her apartment , luckily she had the keys with her
As soon as she entered her apartment, tears started rolling down her cheeks, her eyes wandered over the apartment till they settled on a feature wall with many pictures. There were pictures of her with her parents, brother and lil sister

She remembered the days when her dad bought her the car and Ava was on cloud 9 and then her father asked her to stop acting like a child and then another flashback appeared before her eyes
It was late summer days and she git a weekend off from her hospital and decided to visit her parents who lived in the countryside. She was very excited to meet them, she hadn't seen them in a while now and she had many plans in her mind.
She parked the car outside and as soon as she walked towards the door , she didnt feel alright it was like she knew something was wrong and as she entered the house her eyes widened and her knees seemed to have took great offence of the scene and she couldn't move and then her vision blurred out and she fainted.
She gained her consciousness and found herself in the hospital, she saw the cops standing outside and rushed towards them and asked them about her family.
Unfortunately no one survived someone killed them all and when she turned around all she could see were dead bodies of her beloved ones. She couldn't do anything neither say anything words refused to leave her throat

Back in the room

Now she was crying looking at those precious pictures

Ava ; am sorry dad , I couldn't take care of the car, the last thing u gifted me
Now she started breathing heavily) am so useless and she cried
She realised that she was hyperventilating so slowly moved towards the water bottle and drank some water but this didn't improve her condition, she decided to call Maggie and ask for help,
She called maggie
Maggie: maggie speaking from Chicago med
Ava; ( while trying to catch her breath) am not feeling alright
Maggie immediately knew sth was wrong with her
Maggie: Ava, what happened? Ava! Ava!
Ava suddenly heard a loud gunshot and phone drop from her hand
Maggie: ava u alright? U still here?

Ava stood erect there at the moment, she didnt know what to do and was terrified and this worsened her situation and the she heard a man with loud , low pitched voice
Man: open the door
And he started to hit the door in order to open it
Ava still stood there with her eyes closed and her body shaking..........the door then slammed open and she saw a man with a mask on his face and the next thing she heard was a gunshot and she fell on the floor crying with the pain and then another gunshot and then another
Her vision blurred and she lost her consciousness

Maggie heard the gunshots as well as she was still on the phone, she immediately orders the paramedics to go to her apartment
As they reached their police was already there inspecting the scene
The paramedics ran upto Ava's apartment when she lied on the floor unconsciously, they put her on the stretcher and brought her to the hospital

While Maggie called Rhodes, Natalie, Will and Ethan and Latham telling them that it was an emergency as shooting took place in a building and here were many victims being brought in, they arrived quickly to the hospital
Victims were being brought in while Rhodes yelled towards Maggie
Rhodes: where the hell is Ava, we need her , didnt u call her or is she still crying over her freaking car?

Before maggie could ay anything Ava was brought in on a stretcher
Paramedic: 28 year old female, named Ava Bekker,found unconscious in her apartment , shot thrice one in the chest, one in the abdomen and one in left arm

Rhodes turned his face towards Ava and was shocked, he didn't say anything and quickly rushed towards her and took her to trauma 5
After doing the necessary check up she was taken into the hybrid or as she needed immediate surgery. Maggie paged doctor Latham and they got ready for the surgery

Ok i know its pretty much similar to @elliedownesxo story , i am sorry if u aint happy , i will remove it if u want but I wanted to write fan fiction abt RHEKKER
Cuz the show is doing nothing and the promo for upcoming episode has me in utter confusion
