Connor and Ava's rollercoaster ride

Okay so I dont know what the writers are doing with Ava's character! They introduced her as highly talented surgeon who loved to compete and be on the top and now they are portraying her like a weak dependent girl who will do anything just for a man who doesn't really care and calls her mad! Hoping for the best
Lets continue with the story cuz fanfics are better then the real series

Connor was still trying to make up a plan when he noticed that the men were moving towards the icu and other wards, his eyes were filled with fear he had no idea what to do, he couldn't let anything happen to her after so much
Out of reflex he rushed towards their leader , snatched the gun out of his hand and then aimed it at his forehead , with his other arm around his neck to stop him from running away
Connor: stop where u at.? Or otherwise I will shoot him
On hearing this the men turned around, they stood there waiting for their leader to command them
Leader: don't listen to him and go to the wards
But the men didn't move ahead , just turned their faces on the other side and whispered something for few seconds
During this Connor looked towards Ethan and Will , instructing them
Ethan and will slowly and very cautiously moved towards them and they quickly snatched their guns and held them on gunpoint
Suddenly there was smoke all over the ed and before they could see anything those men weren't there, they probably ran away" thought Will
Now pd was in the hospital and investigation was being carried out
Jay also couldn't believe what happened and how they left cuz it was very uncommon that a group of terrorists hold everyone in the hospital as hostage and then they run away without causing an mass casualty ( although he was thankful that it didn't happen but it was sth that was revolving around his mind)
However soon the atmosphere in the hospital got back normal and everyone began to pretend like nothing had happened but deep inside they were shaken by this terrifying incident!
Everything looked alright, kinda, and the doctors and nurses were treating their patients and those injured, connor then went to the icu to see how Ava was and has anything changed, she was still lying on the bed without any movement ,he sat beside her and gently squeezed her hand while stroking through her hair , tears ran down his face , he wondered that if he didn't care about her why would he risk his own life just for her cuz what he did in the ed few hours ago wasn't because he wanted to save everyone but just to save Ava and he was the only one who knew this
He sat there for hours just staring at her beautiful face that was much paler now until beth came and told him that he is needed for some consult
He although was reluctant but the left the icu to check the patient
It was night time and ethan,will,april,natalie and connor's shift was over.
They decided to go to Molly that day cuz a lot had happened and they needed it
They arrived at Molly's in casual wear , they ordered the drinks ,none of them was very happy or enjoyed being with their loved ones but just to forget what had happened
Ethan:  didn't anyone invite Connor?
Will: i did message him
Natalie: he won't come, he needs to be with Ava right now
April: huh with someone whom he didnt even consider to save
None of them said anything and after drinking went back home
Whereas connor decided to spend the night with Ava so he sat on the couch and soon fell asleep cuz it was a pretty hectic day
He woke up after sometime and immediately looked at Ava whose condition hadn't changed , it was finally the day when her sedation had to be lightened so that she wakes up. Another nurse came into the room and suggested Connor that he should go home, relax, take a shower, change and then come back to the hospital. Connor wasn't willing to leave the hospital so he decided to shower and change there as he had extra scrubs.
After taking a shower and the morning rounds he came back to check on her and Dr. Latham also arrived by that time and he lightened the sedation and then left ordering the nurse to inform him when she wakes up. Connor sat beside her when he felt movement in her hands, a wide smile spread over his face and slowly Ava opened her eyes. She was confused for a moment but after realising where she was she looked at Connor, he could see the pain in her eyes. She immediately moved her hand away from Connor's hand ( slightly cuz she didn't have the energy to do so )and stared at the ceiling.
Connor: Ava!
Ava didn't reply so Connor didn't say anything else and kept staring at her. Then dr Latham arrived when he was informed that she is awake,
Latham: good to see you, dr Bekker
How are you feeling?
Ava didnt say anything
he checked her vitals, heart rate and listened to her heart for few seconds
Latham: everything seems alright, u r doing good Dr Bekker
Then he left, leaving behind Ava and Connor
Connor: I am ... sorry Ava! I am the real pyromaniac, I shouldn't have said that , I shouldn't have accused u without listening to ur side of the story, I am a dumbass and I do realise my mistake....
By this time tears have started rolling down Ava's cheek
Connor: U okay?
She was in pain an he couldn't do anything as he couldn't give her more pain killers at the moment
Ava: What happened that night:
Connor didn't say anything for a moment but then : U really want to listen
to what happened? Connor was a bit reluctant but Ava insisted as she couldn't remember anything that had happened. When connor started telling what happened flashbacks started appearing in front of her eyes, that gunshot was repeating and she couldn't hear anything else but that, visuals of the man breaking into her apartment and shooting her were all she could see! Them she started hyperventilating and shaking
Connor: hey! Hey! Relax , just look at me and breath slowly ... slowly he said while trying to demonstrate
Fortunately after few minutes her breathing was under control
This had become a part of the routine that Ava will have nightmares of that night and will start hyperventilating and shaking, she wouldn't talk to anyone and just lye on the bed busy in her own thoughts. Even when Dr Charles came to visit her and help her she requested him that she wasn't ready yet and she didn't wanna talk about it
One noon when connor came to visit her , she just asked her that why did they save her ? Why did they bring her to the hospital on time? Why didn't they let him die
Dr Latham would regularly visit her and make sure everything was alright and she was recovering
It had been almost 2 weeks since she was admitted in the hospital and the next day she would be discharged but she obviously cant come to the hospital for work for few more weeks. Now the question that arose was that where is she gonna live! She obviously didn't want to return to her apartment neither did she have any friends or family members to live with!
These thoughts were crossing her mind when Connor came,
Connor: hey how r u doing? U will be discharged tomorrow so where are u planning to go? With whom?
Ava: does it matter ?
Connor: yeah it does ! Listen Ava I am asking this because I am a colleague of yours and right now u r extremely weak to do things on ur own or even walk properly
Ava: (in a low voice, almost mumbling) i really dont know!
Connor: any friend or family member
On this Ava remained silent
Connor: then u r coming home with me
Ava : no, i don't want to
Connor: listen Ava , right now u have no where to go and live with , u can stay with me until u r completely fine then u may move out
Just as a friend
Ava didn't want to agree but she reluctantly had to cuz she had no other option so she nodded
Connor smiled at her and then told her that he will ask someone to bring her stuff to his apartment and she again nodded
Then after some hours Dr Charles came in to talk to her
Charles: hey Ava , hope u doing good , I wanted to talk to u as a friend, am not gonna press you hard to tell me everything but this would help u a lot in recovering
Ava agreed and then Charles asked her about that night, to tell him everything she remembered, she started telling about the incident while tears rolled down her cheeks and she started breathing heavily and shaking
Dr Charles: Calm down , i believe this is enough for today relax, i will prescribe u some meds to help during such panic attacks
He helped her to calm down and pick up normal breathing pattern
Will see u tomorrow' then he left

Okay so I wrote it because I wasn't willing to study and had nothing to do and honestly wrote it in about 40 minutes .....ummmm yeahh

Extremely boring I know but still...........sorry for the mistakes!
