"Dee, I swear to my ancestors, I'll kill you if you don't come out of that house in two minutes." Grey hissed at me, already annoyed that I've wasted his time. And no, it wasn't because I was trying to be a female.
If you know what that means.
I don't know whether to laugh or to be terrified but it's definitely not the latter as I saw his face when I stepped out, but I definitely did the former.
"You think this is funny abi? You always do this when we wanna go to the cinemas."
I rolled my eyes, "You know I don't like the idea of going to watch a movie at the cinemas when I can download it or even better, get a CD."
"Let's just go. The guys are already blowing up my phone because of you."
He slung an arm around my shoulder while we walked to the bus stop. It was a sunny day and I was glad I didn't wear a black shirt but I'm pretty sure I was going to sweat nonetheless.
"Loving the simple clothes though. I just don't understand why you can't wear a dress." Grey voiced out and I groaned.
What was wrong with what I wore? I looked at myself as we passed a store and the reflection of a girl wearing shorts and a tank with a vintage shirt thrown over it that greeted my eyes was awesome.
It might also be why I was late. I was deciding on which of the multiple black shirts in my wardrobe to wear and I ended up with what I wore.
"Because I dress comfortably. Why don't you wear a dress? You've always been into them for a while," I sneer at him and he laughed.
"Are you envious I've not been attracted to you?"
"I don't even want to have anything to do with you in that area."
"Suuure," He dragged. "You know where to find me when you're ready," He licked my ear and ran off.
What the..?
I ran after him while shouting profanities at the top of my voice. Sure I got stares from other people but I was more interested in catching that idiot and shoving my foot up his ass. Or maybe kicking his balls.

"If Dee was going to sleep throughout the movie, why bring her in the first place?" Andrew was sulking, "I spent a lot on this."
So I may have slept throughout the whole movie while the guys' eyes were glued to the screen like it was a naked girl.
"I told you guys coming to the cinemas wasn't my thing but no, you had to force me." I licked my spoon clean and dipped it into the cup again, "But at least I get free food, so why not?"
"Glutton."
"Asshole."
"Guys..." Junior yawned, cutting us off "Let's just do something else, like walk anywhere or hang at Dee's place."
I finished my ice cream and waited for the three of them to finish theirs while they checked out girls. In the meantime, I took out my phone and started taking selfies and judging, then deleting them.
"You should stop before your phone camera breaks." I could hear the sarcasm dripping from Grey's voice and I dropped my phone.
"Why don't you go back to checking girls out?" I leaned back into my chair while the other two glanced at us.
"I'm looking at one, aren't I?"
"We both know I'm way out of your league."
"Oooh." Junior gave me a fist bump.
I might not look like all the girls he's hooked up with; with my chocolate skin compared to their light skin or my slim figure compared to their model-like ones but I didn't care. I had something they didn't: my virginity. Maybe boobs too or ass.
We both stared at each other, more like glared, and it didn't look like one of us was going to back down.
"Just drop it guys." Andrew waved his hands in our faces and I blinked.
Looking at Grey, I started to wonder why I liked him in the first place. It was two years ago and I was fresh out of high school when I bumped into him when I went out for a jog. First thing that popped into my head was 'who's that fine looking guy?'
I wished I was dressed appropriately because I wasn't one to dress for the occasion but the 1-second locking of eyes we did made my heart jump. I prayed to the gods that I would meet him again and my prayers were answered when I 'bumped' into him another day.
I actually planned to bump into him. Lol.
Long story short; he asked for my number, we got close and all that to even lock lips on different occasions especially when I knew the kind of person he was. A fuckboy.
I'm pretty sure he saw me the same way he saw other girls. He would even ask me for the number of any girl he saw me with whether she was my friend or not and he'll still trap me in a corner to kiss me senseless.
At that point, I knew going deeper with him would affect me so I had to stop any feelings that was brewing in my heart. I'm sure he noticed that I was withdrawing and he's frustrated but what can I do?
But did I like the attention I usually got from him? Yes.
"I'm envious of you guys love-hate relationship o," Andrew said. "I didn't see this at the beginning. What happened?"
I can't possibly tell Junior and Andrew that I once liked him and we've been intimate. To them, I only met him and was the bridge to their bromance that they have now and I plan to keep it that way.
"I'm pretty sure it's because Dee can't give Grey what other girls give him. I understand that." Junior laughed and gave him a peck on his cheek.
I love the way he thinks.
Grey only grumbled throughout the journey home. I was also pretty quiet while Andrew and Junior were talking about a party that was happening tomorrow.
"Don't you guys have lectures?" I spoke up immediately my brain processed that it was going to be a Monday.
"The semester is over Einstein," Junior rolled his eyes. "We have a month holiday before another starts."
Oh. Demerit of being a dropout.
