London, England/ Babylon Street/ 4:30 P.M. 1895 Winter
I.
Snow began to fall from the overcast above in Babylon Street. Frederick was wearing his regular midnight tailcoat as the cold breeze made him shiver. He had his red-scarf wrapped around his mouth and neck with his black leather gloves clenched into fists. A blizzard was soon coming and as he looked at the three floored brothel everything about it disgusted him. The smell, the lust of blood, the trap for prey, and worst of all Eliza Valentine. I will kill for Adele, I will honor her, I will obey her and I will care for her as best I can no matter what she is for now on, thought Frederick with the cold winds making his eyes wet and freezing.
Hiding inside the alleyway with a black cloak, Adele shielded herself from the rays of sunlight. The magic of the cloak protected her from it all however, the limits of this cloak are well known to last for only six hours. Despite those thoughts of avoiding sun damage Adele focused on Fred and thought about the way he looked as she goes into a trance with wherever he moved. What is this feeling? Why am I warm again like I was days ago? Wait, it's because of Fred again. He's staring at that filthy brothel like a wolf. Why is he so angry? Could it have been because of my old wounds and now he'll fight with me. I'm realizing this now - does he love me? No, I can't do this with him now. I'm a monster he must see that can he? wondered Adele as stood with her back against the wall of the alley.
Adele was almost petrified by the withheld anger grasped within his clenched hands. She couldn't take the look of his held back wrath, so she got closer to him exiting the alleyway. He began to hum from within his mouth trying to control himself from getting close to - the vampire whore who abused Adele, and then he felt the touch of Adele's hand soon his violent visualization over how he would kill the whore faded away. Remaining silent Fred thought about where the future may take him if he were to actually kill Gareth and stop his plans, he has been near death's door for as long as he can remember now. And now that he has made it this far the time for the future after all of this bloodshed he committed in order to defend the natural order of life was approaching sooner or later to its end. Then he looks back at Adele holding his hand, he gazed upon her golden eyes shining with light. He met with those same golden eyes when he saw her again weeks ago, they made him wish to draw closer to her but he has always been afraid to get close because he feared that they would make him forget the existence around him only to meet her. Then his heart pumped like a forge of iron and then he wanted to let out what he wants to do in that so-called "future" plan of his.
"Adele, are you still afraid of me?" asked Frederick as he began to stare out into the cloudy sky above him, then shut his eyes.
"No, not anymore. You promised me that you would never kill any vampires who wish no harm. Right?"
"Yes, I did. But right now I don't know what to do if I finish off Gareth now."
"Why?" she wondered leaning her forehead on his right shoulder comforting him from withheld anger.
"I met death's face so many times now and I feel like there will be no place for me. I'm always fighting to protect myself in the name of everything I lost and now it's coming to this moment where I have to kill for you. But I promise you one thing I would destroy anyone who harms you."
"You don't need to kill for me, Frederick. It's wrong for me to ask you of such a burden. But you are here for the Blood Moon Tablet. Leave the killing of that evil woman to me and if you are so desperate to kill that woman, then be my guest."
"Adele, do you think we can be together again? Like it was back then when we were younger?" Frederick said as he held onto her hand with his right one while reaching his left hand over to touch the top of her natural scarlet colored hair.
