STANDING OUTSIDE THE Santos family house was practically death for an ex-Prophet like Xaviera.
But alas, like she told Oscar in the store, she will do anything for Cesar to come home. It's not safe for anybody's 14 year-old to be on the street. More or less one that has a time-bomb on his life.
The Santos gang stared at her as she stood there in her bright orange bandeau top and blue boyfriend jeans. Headphones plugged in, sitting on a wall, typing away.
Across the street, one Santos tapped another, beer in his hand, "ella tiene agallas no? ¿Recordarme por qué no podemos volver a tocarla?"(she has guts doesn't she? remind me why we can't touch her again?)
The other Santos rolled his eyes, "Ayeee, porque ella es intocable, su padre fue el que salvó la vida de Ricardo, ¿recuerdas?" (because she's an untouchable, her father was the one that saved Ricardo's life, remember?)
The first Santos nodded his head in acknowledgment and looked across the road, "She's a fine ass hyna isn't she?"
The second Santos didn't get to answer as Spooky threw a stick at the Santos that had spoken. "Pórtate bien." (Behave yourself.)
Oscar looked from the two men and looked at his age mate across the road before taking a swig from his beer. The man didn't lie, she was a fine piece of specimen. Beautiful dark skin, dark brown eyes, pearly white and a body to kill for. He watched her for a moment and recalled the day she started this protest on him.

Ruby moved back slightly in the aisle and bumped into someone. He turned around to apologise, "Oh so— oh Xavs, it's you. How are you?"
Oscar stood there as Xaviera Marseille, a girl now turned woman he hadn't seen since senior year turned around to face both him and Ruby.
"You're the one that got shot and is in a cast and you're asking me how I am? You're adorable Reuben." Xaviera beamed, showing off her pearly whites. Oscar nearly dropped the shopping cart he was holding.
Ruby blushed slightly and Oscar made a face, she was twenty-one, she wasn't going to fall for a fourteen year old. Luckily for Oscar, Ruby's phone rang and he walked off to answer it.
That left Oscar and Xaviera.
"So what do I call you? Oscar or Spooky?"
Oscar chuckled, "You might as well call me Spooky, you are a Prophet after all. I'm surprised you haven't called your people on me."
Xaviera frowned. "I'm not a Prophet. It happens to run in my blood, doesn't mean I claim it. Plus, everyone knows that the grocery store is neutral grounds, Spooky." The name sounded so foreign in her mouth, she was used to calling him Oscar after all it was all she whined during her school years after he bullied her relentlessly.
Oscar opened his mouth to speak but she cut him off, "Speaking of that topic, I heard you disowned your brother."
Spooky smirked, "What, so you're making friends with teenagers now?"
"Don't change the subject Spooky. Cesar is a child. He needs you, he needs protection, he is far from safe out there, anything could happen to him."
"Firstly, call me Oscar, please. Secondly, that shit ain't my problem bonita." He rubbed his tear tattoo.
She scoffed, "Not your problem? He's your brother!"
"Was. Was my brother. Until he proved himself to be a punk ass puta, no guts." Spat Oscar.
"So you'd rather he be a murderer? Oscar, Cesar's not a coward because he refused to kill someone."
Oscar came closer and instinctively, Xaviera took a step back. Oscar decided not to mention it. "I'm done with that." He proceeded to turn around and she grabbed him to face her.
Oscar looked at her hand gripping his arm, shooting daggers and she instantly let go. "sorry. you need to help your brother Oscar, he's not safe on the streets. I'll do anything for him to come home."
"anything bonita?"
xaviera nodded.
"your virginity, i want it."
Xaviera's eyes widened and Oscar smirked. "Yes bonita, I know you still have it." He took a step closer and grabbed her so she was against his body with nowhere to run. "give it to me and cesar comes home."
she gulped, "I-I-I don't have it. I lost it. In college." She looked away. And Oscar laughed scratching his tattoo.
"You've always been a bad liar Xaviera. I can see right through you. You're going to be waiting a long time for Cesar to come home. You know why? Because he's not, not until I get what I want." He proceeded to walk away and stand next to Ruby who was finished with his call and in the line.
"I'll protest! I'll come and sit outside your house everyday until you bring him home. You'll get tired of seeing me eventually."
Oscar turned around, "Enjoy yourself princesa."

And her she was true to her word. A week since she said it.
He also noticed that she'd constantly been checking up on each on of the teenagers, befriending them and gaining their trust, helping them with any issues.
Across the road, Xaviera was shivering from fear. She could feel all their eyes on her. She'd been her continuously for seven days. She'd even skipped church. She internally prayed for God to forgive her. Then she looked up and met the cold stare of Oscar.
She quickly looked down as blood rose to her cheeks.
He'll give in soon enough is what she thought.
He wouldn't.
yes new book leave me alone. I just had a really good idea and Spooky is bae so I thought why not.
So basically SUPER SLOW UPDATES and I'm really sorry but the other books take priority even though I have no idea how to end any of them but ya know we move 2019 innit so.
