Jackunzel Drabbles

Drive Thru Window

Working at a fast food restaurant is pretty crappy. Jack thought the worst part is getting drive thru duty.

Jack was suppose to train this new girl named Rapunzel for this duty at McDonalds . Rapunzel was a very attractive blonde girl with a bubbly personality. Jack couldn't deny he was attracted to her. His coworkers made fun of him everyday for it.

"Your blonde friend is working today, she's been looking for you." Aster would tease or say "better watch out Pitch is getting fed up with Blondie's mistakes again.

Jack would always roll his eyes at his fellow co worker's teasing.

See Rapunzel was a very sweet person but a terrible fast food cashier. She would give people the wrong prices sometimes. She would forget to fill in a order or a soda. So it was either train for Drive Thru duty or Toilet duty. And no one wanted that job.

"Okay now just warning you. As a Drive Thru worker you will see some strange people,
Rude people and people who can't speak clearly if their life depended on it." Jack told her.

"Okay."

"Are you prepared for that?"

"Yes Jack."

"Good now first you'll wait for this little light to go off. It's a sends a signal from the drive thru to alert you a driver has pulled up.

"Cool." Rapunzel said.

"Next you will wear your head set to hear and ask for people's orders."

"Then you're going to give the order to Tooth and that's it you're on to the next customer."

"Okay sounds easy enough."

Jack still stood in the drive-thru window. Waiting to help her with her customer but Rapunzel ushered him out saying she would call if she needed help.

The first two hours seemed fine. There had been no complaints until the lunch hour rush came.

Rapunzel became flustered with all the incoming orders. She was giving Tooth orders left and right. Then a customer had began yelling at her through the microphone when she said they were out of Pepsi but were making more.

"Jack your lady needs some help back here." Aster said.

Jack came into the drive thru operating room and saw that North had taken over the microphone. Aster was trying to comfort the crying Rapunzel.

"What the hell happened?!" Jack asked.

"A cranky old ass yelled at her because she said we were out of Pepsi."

"Where is he now!!" Jack yelled.

"I don't know! He drove off!" Aster yelled back.

"Guys your yelling is not helping!" Tooth complained.

"Here I got her." Jack said. "Come on Rapunzel."

Jack took her by the hand and guided her through the back of the fast food restaurant.

"I'm so sorry Jack. I thought I could handle it but there were just so many and when we ran out of Pepsi the customer yelled at me and I just didn't know what to do." Rapunzel said in between sobs.

Jack held her shoulders "Rapunzel look at me. It's not your fault. Okay customers can be assholes. It's not your fault."

"Jack I can't do anything right. Pitch is going to fire me or worse out me on bathroom duty." She cried into his shoulder.

"Don't worry about that. I won't let that happen. I'll take full responsibility."

"I can't let you do that."

"Well too bad. It's my fault I shouldn't have left you alone during rush hour."

"No that was my fault I told you I could handle it."

"Rapunzel stop arguing with me." Jack said

"Stop defending me!" Rapunzel commanded.

"No!" Now he was yelling.

"Why not!"

"Because I like having you here! I don't want to see you have to leave! Because.....I like you alright! Now would you stop arguing with me!"

"That's just unfair!"

"What is?"

"I don't want to see you get in trouble! I happen to like having you here too! And you at least know what you're doing!"

"Well I-- god well what do you think we should do?!"

"We could just not tell Pitch." She said with an innocent look.

"Yeah I guess we could do that." Jack said.

"So I guess al that yelling was pointless." Rapunzel said awkwardly shifting her hand.

"Yeah......" Jack said putting his hands in his pockets.

"Do you really think I'm a total screw up?"

"No of course not.....this, this is your first job. Alright? First jobs suck and no one is good at them. My first job was at Starbucks and I got fired my first week."

"Really?! What did you do?"

"I forgot to charge everyone for their cup of coffee and I hadn't notice it until this nice customer told me that I hadn't collected his payment. So I gave out at least 35 free coffees."

"Oh my goodness."

"Yeah my manager fired me on the spot."

"That's terrible."

"It was and that's why I don't want it to happen to you. I haven't been to a Starbucks for awhile and I don't know why people are even willing to eat here so I knew I wouldn't uh see so much of you."

"I wouldn't be seeing you either if you got fired then I be stuck at a terrible job that I'm not even good at."

"That is true. Here let's make a truce. I won't take the blame for your mishaps and you will go to dinner with me sometime."

Rapunzel was flattered by the comment and nodded in agreement. "As long as you promise not to take me here."

Jack laughed "I promise."

They went back into the fast food joint both feeling a little more light and happy.

Authors noteS I am sick. Like I caught the flu so I thought well why not update a chapter of Jackunzel drabbles. I must go though because I have a splitting headache and stuffed up nasal passages but I hoped you all liked this Drabble thanks for the request and please vote comment request and share
