Nick's POV
I was really upset by what Judy said to me last night. She normally doesn't act that way. The real Judy would sit down with me and talk about our differences for each other. We would find a way to work things out.
It as the third day of training and I wasn't really up for it. Today we were practicing first aid and CPR and that's going to be kinda difficult since the majority of the training group are dudes and there is no way I'm putting my lips on a guy.
I even ran it by Tessa and she said she'll figure out something.
Meanwhile, we all were gathered outside on the pavement next to the training grounds. The day seemed to be kinda gloomy. The sun was nowhere in sight and the clouds were all dark. I hope it doesn't rain.
"Alright. So, since its 90% dudes in this group we will skip the CPR training, " Tessa announced as she continued handing everybody their own first aid kits. "I have to find some test dummies or something. You all can't practice CPR on me."
Most of the officers groaned and some laughed.
"So, we'll just go through the things in our first aid kits." she decided as she traveled around the circle.
She had all of us sitting in a large circle on the pavement. Today she was wearing an orange ZPD shirt with some black leggings. Nothing fancy. Yet all the guys were still whispering about her and staring at her.
I looked over at Judy, who was busy talking to Gary. It seems like she was asking him a question and he was showing her something on his phone Judy became all starry eyed and stared at something. That made Gary blush and tuck his phone back in his pocket and they continued exchanging words. I wonder what all that was about. Ever since I arrived at work Judy didn't pay me any attention.
It's like I don't even exist anymore.
"Okay, let's begin," Tessa started as she held up her first aid kit and pulled out a band aid. "Can anybody tell me what would be the proper situation to use this?" she held up the band aid.
Everyone was quiet for a moment, then Ralph raised his paw.
Tessa pointed to him, signalling him to speak.
"It's moreso used for small cuts like on your finger." he responded with full confidence.
"Correct!" Tessa yipped. "...a band aid is more so used for less serious injuries. If the wound was more serious, let's say a deep knife cut for example, you would use rubbing alcohol to get rid of the germs then apply a strip of an elastic bandage."She pulled out her little bottle of rubbing alcohol and elastic bandages and went around to anybody who had questions. At least training today seemed more easier. Seems more like a free day.
"Hey, Wilde?" I heard Tessa call.
All eyes were on me. Am I in trouble again?
"Ma'am?" I squeaked as my eyes locked on hers.
"You mind being my assistant for my little demonstration?" she asked, taking a few steps towards me.
Her eyes lit up with interest in me that made my heart race. It was like she wouldn't stop staring until I responded.
"Uh," I uttered, finding my eyes on Judy on the other side of the circle. She was looking at me then quickly turned her head the other way, starting up another conversation with Gary. "Sure!" I finally replied.
Since Judy wants to play the quiet game with me I'll just start hanging around Tessa more. That'll make her crawl back to me, begging for my forgiveness.
