Chapter 1
I was now 14 years old and I was in my first year of high school. High school seems scary to me, but my parents told me it isn't so bad. They told me stories of when they were in high school. My dad told me some funny stories of how he didn't open his locker and that he went to the wrong class several times. I laughed at all of his stories and then I had to hear what mother had to say. She didn't have any problem with her locker, nor she went to the wrong class. People thought she was perfect and beautiful in school. My mother said she was Miss Popular and my father was like a nerd. I saw pictures of both of them in high school. Dad wore these very weird looking glasses and his hair was in a weird direction. My mother on the other hand, she had beautiful long brown hair and she always had a smile on her face. They both had very different personalities and looks so I sometimes wonder how they even married each other. But you never know. I mean you could have nothing in common with the person you love and then a few years later you could marry them.
That is why I don't get love yet. I mean it's confusing and weird to me. I still remember what happened to me in 1st grade. I met Harry Styles. To this day, I'm best friends with him and we do everything together. He's a great friend and he's really sweet. He always flirts with me. I mean like everyday he does that. I think he's great. Nobody could replace him. Not even an item could.
It was almost time to head over to my first day of high school. I was nervous, but my parents told me that I shouldn't be. They told me that high school was fun and yes, it could be difficult, but eventually I would get the hang of it. Harry was going to pick me up and we were going to walk to school. We live only a block away from school. I always wondered why we lived so close to the school, but they told me that they would save money from not buying gas and they would not need the car. Also they think I need some exercise, which is true, but what if I'm lazy one day? People could be very lazy or tired and couldn't walk. You never know.
There was a knock at the door. I knew who it was. Harry Styles my best friend. I got up and walked to the door. I opened up and I saw him. He had his backpack on, he was wearing a jacket, and he was wearing long pants. He was smiling and he put his hand on my shoulder. I smiled as well.
"Ready?" I nodded. He walked down the steps and I said goodbye to my parents. I closed the door and then walked down the steps. We started to walk to school. Harry was looking at me and I was looking at the ground. I was nervous and scared of going to high school. But Harry always seems to be happy since he always has a smile on his cute face.
"You okay?" He asked. I nodded. I looked up and I walked a little faster.
"You excited or not?" He asked, turning his head to face mine.
"Sorta," I told Harry.
"How come?"
"I'm actually a little nervous."
"Oh, cmon! It's going to be fine."
"You sure?"
"Positive," He says with a wink.
I believed him. He was my best friend and I had to believe him or I could decide to not. But I did. He was actually right. It was fine, but I wasn't feeling fine.

"What homeroom you in?" He asked me. I looked at my schedule. I looked at the room.
"Mrs. Heartfield room D 12."
"Me too. Let's walk there together." I nodded and we walked into the homeroom. The teacher smiled at us and told us to sit wherever we wanted to. I sat down at a desk and Harry sat down next to me. We both smiled at each other.
"What is your first class, babe?" He asked.
"Chorus."
"Me too. Haha, I wonder if any other boys will be in that class."
"If your the only one then..." I trailed off. Yes if he was the only boy in the class then all the girls would be all over him and I might not have anytime to even say one word to him.
"If I'm the only one?"
"The girls would be over you."
"Yeah, I know. That would be great."
"For you perhaps, but not me."
"You think I would forget about you?"
"You might."
"I would never forget about you, Rosie."
"You sweet."
Minutes went by and then the most popular girl in school came in. Oh no I thought. I hated that girl. She loved Harry, but she didn't get that we were best friends.
"Look who it is girls." She said, to her friends. They noticed Harry and I hid under my desk. I didn't want them to see me like this.
"HARRY!" Daniella said, the most popular girl.
"Daniella. Hey babe." She walked over to Harry with the other two girls.
"How are you? How was your summer?"
"Good and great."
"What did you do?" She asked.
"Singing mostly."
"Of course."
"Yeah."
"Who is this I see?" Daniella walked over to my desk and she saw me under the desk. "Scaredy cat, eh?" She laughed.
"Leave me alone."
"Oh she's talking. Oh I'm so scared!" She laughed again with her friends this time.
"Knock it off, Daniella," Harry snapped.
"Fine Harry. But we will talk later." She kissed Harry on the cheek and then walked away.
I stood up from under the desk and I wiped off my pants.
"You okay, dear?" Harry looked at me.
"No."
"It's Daniella..."
"Of course it's her. When I first found out that she liked you, I started to really hate her and she's always rude."
"I understand. Come to Harry to make it better." I hugged Harry and he always made everything better.
