Chapter 3 : I LOVE YOU

“so, Mary I was wondering if you want to go on a date with me tonight?” 

as I saw Adam tightening his fist I reply James furiously

 “date? Why?”

 “I love you and I’ve been waiting forever for this moment just to said…” he stop.

I can’t be any shocker I think and I bet my face is so ugly right now.

“that you.. are..  a moron if you believe me!!” he laugh like a cow or some other animal.

“your face is so priceless!! If only I bring my camera right now.” Oh he really gonna get it after this.

I think I look like some ninja or samurai with that black killing tense surround me.  

As soon as he stops laughing he looks at me and said 

“Mary. I’m just kidding! You’re definitely not my taste. Can you ever imagine us? being together? I think we will look like an impala and giraffe dating by the sea side or something” 

He said while laughing like a crazy maniac. Now that sound like him. James and I actually have been friend since last year when we went to the same class. We sat on the same table maybe that what make us be so close. 

I can see Adam let out a relieve sigh when James said he was kidding. Maybe he doesn’t want me to go on a date with school famous playboy that will definitely ruin my life. Well he always had been an overly protective friend and that maybe the answer on the question why I still doesn’t have any boyfriend. I remember once when we were 15, he almost makes my ex, Andrew, go blind when they fought after he saw I cried when I knew An cheated on me. Well that boy deserved that! How could he cheat on the most beautiful girl in the world for a girl that wore short skirt almost every day? He already blind before Adam has the chance to make him go blind! Boy will always be boy. Well I cannot met Adam for about a month after that and I died almost hundreds time in that one month. I hate that month!

Adam, me and James walk to our class. My class is in the second floor of that building. When we enter the class I can see Chloe smile while wave at me. I walk to her and reach out the seat beside her. Chloe is my best friend since forever. She is that happy sweet and beautiful girl in my school though sometimes she can be pretty annoying but still she is the best. She is the only person who knew my entire secret. Maybe that is the reason I need to stay close with her. She can be quite dangerous sometime. She is my neighbor and we hang out almost every day. She got a boyfriend, Jac. He is our classmate. The second most intelligent student in our class and first of course, Adam. The class starts with math the subject I hate the most. As soon as the class starts Adam pass me a piece of paper through Chloe. I look at him and he gives the open-that-paper face. When I open it I saw his neat handwriting saying

 “can we meet after school?” 

I write back

 “yeah sure. Why?”

I pass it to him back. He is acting weird today, I mean he never ask if he want to meet me. We just hang out. A few seconds later Chloe give me back a piece of paper with a stop-this-shit-I-need-to-concentrate face. “sorry” I said without letting out any voices out. I don’t know if she hear me or not but I think she can read my lips. When she focuses back to the class I open that paper. 

“I will tell you later. By the way, you look beautiful today”

For a moment I think I forget how to breathe. What is wrong with that guy? When I turn I saw his stupid grin across his face. He doesn’t even look at me but I know that grin is definitely for me, obviously.

I was on the rooftop of our school administration building. We always hang out here or I can say that this is our hang out place. If we skip classes or school’s activity you can find us here. This is the safest place in this school. Irony isn’t it? It doesn’t matter anymore since I was looking right at Adam who is kneeling right in front of me after saying “I Love You”. what?
