Chapter 9

As soon as everyone sat back on the couches, L asked Matt to track down Light. Of course he was the only one capable of doing so... He was a video game genius couldn't he handle the simple task on a computer as well?

"Near, Mello, you two will be working together on this." L explains.

"I need you to go find Misa-Misa and bring her in for questioning." He says. I had explained to him previously that Misa was in fact the second Kira.

Currently I'm laying on the couch pondering how all this would turn out in my head. L could die. Matt could die. Mello could die. Near could die. Watari could die...

Tears brim in my eyes as I think thoughs words. I don't want any of them to die. I slowly touch my new shinigami tattoo on my face. Why did this have to happen to me?

"Sara, is something troubling you?" L asks quietly as soon as the two left for the Misa-Misa hunt.

"Yeah... I guess.."

"Your not telling the truth, I can tell."

"How would you feel if you were put in my situation?!" I yell at him. He winced and starts trembling. Am I that scary?

"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have yelled.." I say while covering my face. This is no way to treat your favorite anime character.

"Its fine." He says as he spins around on his chair.

"No its not fine I shouldn't ha~"

"I told you its fine Sara." He interrupted.

"No it isn't. I cant just treat you like I dislike you or something."

"What...?" He says, as he slows his chair to a stop.

"I mean your my anime crush~" Oh my god did I really just say that to L. My face gets red in embarrassment.

"Hm?" He says turning his back to me.

"I don't want to repeat that..." I said while my face was becoming redder.

"I've grown fond of you but as a friend." He states. Wow am I so friend zoned.

Then mello and near barge through the door.

"L, we think Misa has run off with Kira!" They say.
