// Dean's POV

Dean shut his eyes tightly.

He heard the fist flying down but there was no pain.

No one hit him.

He expected to hear snickering but instead there were a few silent gasp.

Dean slowly opened his eyes.

The man's fist right at his face but there was a hand stopping it. A hand covered in black wristbands.

Dean looked up and his eyes widened.

Standing in front of him, stopping the fist from crashing into his face was Castiel.

"Drop it Alastair." He stared straight into the guys eyes.

Alastair laughed and pulled away.

"Oh why? Is he your boyfriend?"

Castiel rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"Alastair...drop it."

But he kept laughing. And Cas punched him, sending him crashing into a few desk and onto the floor.

He turned around and glared at the people holding Dean. They quickly let go and walked away.

Dean looked down at his feet.

Castiel grabbed hold of his chin and lifted his head up so they looked into one another's eyes.

Why was Cas so tall? He was practically taller than Dean in those boots. Dean didn't like being the short one. Especially in these situations.

"You okay?" He asked genuinely worried.

His eyes were so blue.

Dean could feel the heat rising in his cheeks as he slowly nodded.

Castiel smiled and picked up his book from the floor and handing it to Dean.

"Here. You dropped this." He winked.

"T-thank you." He whispered.

Cas smirked and ruffled his hair.

He walked away and sat in the back of the class.

"What happened here?" A man asked.

Everyone looked up and stared at the teacher.

"Who are you?" he asked.

"I-I. I'm Dean Winchester sir, your new student."

"Yes yes...go take a seat. Castiel!"

Cas had his legs over his desk. He looked up and smiled.

"Yes sir?"

"Can you explain what happened to Alastair?"

Castiel shrugged with a smile.

"I'm not sure sir! I just walked in as usual and found him on the floor."

"That's not true! You knocked him out!" The two boys who had been holding Dean glared.

Alastair groaned and nodded.

Castiel shot them a look and was about to say something when the teacher sighed.

"Castiel Novak. Hall. Now. You too Alastair."

He groaned and swooped his legs onto the floor before getting up and walking into the hall.

"I'll deal with you two later," he glared at the two boys.

The teacher walked out with the boys and the class was quiet.

"You're new here?" Someone whispered next to Dean.

Dean looked next to him and saw a girl with long wavy hair.

"Y-yea..." he stated.

"Well hi. I'm Lisa." She smiled.

"I'm Dean."

// Castiel's POV

Cas walked back in the class and saw Dean talking with Lisa.

Oh no...not her...

Almost every guy in their grade had a crush on Lisa and they were always turned down. The ones that she did say yes to, only lasted a few weeks. Cas never really liked her...and now she was trying to steal Dean from him!

Hells to the no bitch. He was mine first.

Cas walked over and sat in between them.

Dean cleared his throat and let his wide smile fall.

Lisa glared at Cas.

"Um Cassie? Dean and I were talking." Lisa pursed her lips.

"I know. I just figured I'd save him before you go and break his heart."

Lisa scoffed and was about to say something when the teacher walked back in with Alastair.

"It better not happen again, understand?"

Alastair smirked and nodded before going to his seat.

From the corner of his eye, Cas saw Dean tense up. He gripped the strap of his bag tightly.

"Hey...it's alright. If he tries to lay a finger on you, I'll deal with him." Castiel reassured, placing his hand on Dean's.

Dean blushed darkly and his hand twitched. He slowly pulled away and placed his hands in his lap.

Castiel slowly smiled and continued to stare at the boy.

The teacher began class. He asked questions and Dean was always the first to answer. And he answered correctly.

Castiel was shocked by how smart he was but that made him like him even more.

Maybe Cas only liked him as a friend. Who knew?
