"Dad. . ." Dean whispered. John looked fine. He wasn't drunk or anything. He did however, have bags under his eyes.

"Hey, son..." John smiled like he never did anything wrong. He smiled like nothing happened. As if he never tried to hurt Sam the time he was excessively drunk, and he only tried to hurt Sam because Dean wasn't home.

"Listen. . .I know I've made mistakes. . .but I don't have anywhere to stay. I regret everything I did son. I honestly do. . . where's Sammy?" He asked. Dean stood up straighter in front of the door.

"You're not going to see Sam." He stated firmly. John stepped closer but slouched, as if he really felt bad.

"Please Dean. I need to apologize to him. Please. . ."

Dean was about to protest and shut the door when he caught a glimps of a gun tucked into John's waist band. He clentched his jaw and stepped aside.

"You can come in. . .you can't see Sam."

John smiled slightly and nodded before stepping inside.

He looked around the house before grunting once and sitting down on the couch. He looked really tired and Dean couldn't help but feel bad.

"What are you wearing?" John asked bluntly. Dean looked down at his clothes. He was wearing his usual green vest and brown slacks.

Oh...right.

"I- I started wearing this because-- "

"You thought it would hide you from me? Really? Dean...I'm your father. Dressing up like a nerd isn't going to hide you from me. Why aren't you wearing your contacts?"

Dean looked down at his feet and sighed.

"I threw them out."

"Of course you did. Dean those things cost money. Never mind...I'm not in the mood to argue with you right now."

"...y-you should rest. I can bring some extra blankets." He whispered. John looked up at him with a smile and nodded.

"Yes. Thank you Dean." He stated gruffly before beginning to take off his coat. Dean ran into a closet in the hall and looked around for any spare blankets. Once he found one, he grabbed a pillow and walked back into the living room.

To his surprise, John was still right where he left him. Dean would've thought he had found Sam's room or something. But he was lying there, and had fallen asleep.

Dean sighed and grabbed the pillow, lifting his head up and placing it under his head before moving on to unfold the blanket. He slowly unfolded it and placed it over him. After a few minutes of standing there, trying to figure out all the cons of this situation, he left and walked back into his own room.

Maybe he should call Cas and tell him what's happening. No. . .he'd worry. Dean groaned and layed back in his bed when his phone started ringing. Not wanting to wake up with father, Dean quickly answered it.

"Hello?" He whispered.

"Dean? What's wrong? What happened? Why are you whispering?" Cas asked, whispering the last part as well.

"Nothing...don't worry about it...it was just some kid trying to sell me stuff." He lied, fiddling with his glasses.

There was silence between the two for a few minutes before Cas spoke up.

"So Dean...I mean I was just wondering, seeing as I'll be out of town for a bit...I was wondering...if you would like to come with me and Gabriel to the town carnival. Sam can also come of course."

"Carnival?" Dean asked, his cheeks hot with blush. Cas laughed nervously on the other line.

"Y-yea. I mean I'll be leaving Sunday so I was wondering if you'd like to come with me tomorrow...I understand if you can't." He explained.

"Okay. Sure...I'll go." Dean smiled.

"You will?"

"Yea."

Dean could practically hear Cas smiling from ear to ear.

"Okay great! I'll see you tomorrow then! See ya, Winchester." And with that, he hung up.

Dean smiled and set his phone down on his night stand. He sighed and took if his glasses, rubbing them on his shirt before also setting them aside.

He didn't even ask what time he would meet him or where he would meet him. But he was sure Sam would be ecstatic about it. He had been begging Dean to go since they first got in town.

Dean closed his eyes and thought.

Where's Cas going?

Wouldn't it be awkward to be standing around each other...since we kissed?

What if he tries to kiss me again?

What if I try to kiss him?!

No just stop thinking about that...

Dean opened his eyes and sat up.

"No...Cas won't try to kiss me. H-he just probably kisses anyone who's really close to him! Or something...great now I'm talking to myself, shut up Winchester!" He groaned and laid back down.

It was going to be a long night...
