Again I wake up to knocking on the window then I remember that I have a new job. Even though I am still at home, I change into the same clothes as yesterday. Why have I been feeling sick for the past few days and only in the morning, I think then I scream in horror.
My apartment door opens and I fall into Joshua's arms with his sister behind me, "what's wrong," they ask. A few seconds of silence pass before they say in unison, "your door wasn't locked, do you think it was Vence?"
I shake my head and answer weakly, "it was Jason Halperin," my friends look at each other.
"Your crush made you pregnant," Joslin says and I nod, "you can go see him after we finish teaching, deal?" I nod again because I am too shocked to say anything.
We sit down on the floor which has four beanbags, three are in a row and the last one is facing the three. Joshua sits on the one to the left, I'm in the middle and Joslin is on the right. As soon as we sit down, a five-year-old girl with light brown braids and light brown eyes skips in. "Good morning, Mr. Tate, Ms. Tate, and Ms. Windon," the young girl says.
"Mrs. Halperin," I correct her gently. Joshua and Joslin look at me and I mouth, I'm pregnant with his child so I'll have to get married to him. The young girl tells us her name which is Mira. Hours pass, school is done so I go to Jason's apartment and knock.
"Hello, Harper," the nineteen-year-old says gently, " come in." I enter his apartment and we both sit down, "I'm sorry," I just shrug, "I was planning on proposing to you but-"
I put a finger on his lips, "yes," I say softly, "I have loved you ever since we met all those years ago." We sit there and Jason cuddles me in his arms which makes me fall asleep.
